Public, family-friendly facility set in a park, offering swimming lessons and a zero-depth pool.
The exact temperature of the pool(s) at Rusch Park Pool is not explicitly published on official sources. However, public recreational pools of this type are generally heated to a comfortable temperature, typically in the low 80s Fahrenheit (approximately 27-29°C), to ensure a pleasant swimming experience during their operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This swimming facility receives mixed reviews, with several positive aspects alongside significant operational drawbacks. Positives include a generally nice and inclusive facility with clear water, music, and various pools (diving, children's, swimming). Many appreciate the option to bring outside food for family picnics and commend its zero-depth entry. It's also praised for offering swim lessons with 'awesome' instructors, being less crowded than alternatives, and implementing good safety protocols during the pandemic (temperature checks, social distancing, masks). However, major criticisms revolve around extremely limited public swim hours and frequent disruptions caused by swim meets running over time, cutting into scheduled public access. Operational issues are also highlighted, such as inaccurate website information regarding opening times, significant delays in opening, uncommunicated cash-only policies, and a lack of staff accommodation for these inconveniences. Reviewers note that management appears to address these issues by updating the website (e.g., stating swim meets 'may go over time') rather than resolving the underlying problems.

2025 review: invested in a swim pass because of issues last summer. I am enjoying this pool. But with its already extremely limited public swim hours, I really wish they'd do something about swim meets going over time. They've been open to the public two weekends and already public swim times have been cut short because of swim meets. Extend public swim hours! 2024 review: Website says they open at 2pm. Show up at 2 they say they open at 2:30. Then FINALLY at 2:50 they're actually ready to open only to say ooop!! Cash only! Waited for 45 minutes for absolutely nothing. No accomodation from staff since we had been waiting, and they were late. Just nothing. I know the credit card issue isnt their fault, but considering we had been waiting for a hour and were limited to barely 1.5 hours of public swim time because they were late, they could've done something to accomodate. The public swim hours are already extremely limited. So far I'm not loving this pool, just on account of the way it is operated. ** interesting to see that after a few reviews like this, instead of addressing swim meets going over time and interfering with public swim times, they just updated the website to say swim meets may go over time.
Very nice pool. You can bring outside food to this pool. Great option for a nice family picnic.
Great facility. It's commendable that they have a zero depth pool entry so that they are inclusive. Very happy that they are open for swim lessons during the pandemic. I was really worried my kids would lose their skills. They take your temperature before you enter the facility and everyone is 6 feet apart. The instructors all stay six feet apart from participants as well as wear masks, even in the water sometimes.
Clear water, music, life guard. diving pool, children's pool, swimming pool. M-F 1pm-3pm,S-S 1pm-5pm, $4 for all.
My kids do swim lessons here. The instructors are awesome here and it's way less crowded than Roseville.
