What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this aquatic center are mixed. Positive aspects highlight it as an amazing place for lap swimming, particularly its 50m outdoor pool with mountain views, good water temperatures, reasonable prices, and often being open when other locations are closed. Some appreciate the friendly staff and features like a waterslide and diving boards for kids. However, significant negative feedback includes serious accusations of racism and discrimination by staff, specifically targeting Latina families regarding slide access, despite white children of similar height being allowed. Other complaints include a strict no-refund policy (even after incidents in the pool), basic amenities (lacking lounge chairs, hot tubs, or concessions like bottled water/ice cream), and discomfort caused by a lifeguard described as glaring at children. Overall, while some find it suitable for specific needs like lap swimming or beating the heat, others strongly advise against visiting due to reported staff behavior and a general sense of being cheated or disgusted.

Amazing place to drop in for lap swimming while in town! I love an opportunity to swim in a 50m pool PLUS it's outdoors PLUS you have beautiful views of the mountains! It was not very busy when I came around 9AM, and even if it were busy there is so much space with the indoor and outdoor pool. The pool temps were much better than the other place I have previously swam in SLC. Prices weren't bad, I will definitely keep this on my list for drop in places to swim when I'm in town for work!
Solid spot to take the kids for swimming in the summer, there's a waterslide, two diving boards, and sometimes lap lanes. It's not my favorite aquatic center, but I appreciate the price and how it's often open when other locations are closed. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
The several staff members here are racist here. Our kids were going down the slides fine, then a white female lifeguard noticed my Latina spouse waiting for our son. She told her to move away. My wife explained others Mothers are doing the same thing. Next our kids were going back up the stairs and she was waving at the white lifeguard up top to send the kids back down. I complained to the supervisor in charge and she looked at us and said the kids weren’t tall enough. White kids shorter than ours were still going down the slides fine. Then another Latina girl went up with their Father and she was sent back down. I spoke to the Father and he said the same thing the white kids get to use the slide that are smaller than the height limit. Whoever is in charge there should be ashamed of themselves and their staff.
I got into the pool and not even 1 minute in getting in for sanitation and we were swimming right next to the incident. I Wanted a refund because all the signs say no refund for weather related reasons so when I asked they told me I was unable to refund period. I feel cheated out of my money and absolutely disgusting after leaving the pool please don't take your family here.
It's fine. Just pretty basic. There's a little slide for kids, some tables and chairs and that's it. They don't sell bottles of water, ice cream, lounge chairs, or have hot tubs or therapy pools. There was also a strange heavy-set lifeguard walking around positively glaring at the kids. I don't know why she decided to be a lifehaurd for children but her aversion for them was palpableand uncomfortable. If you visit, you will be able to pick her out right away, I'm not overreactingat all. It was okay for beating the heat but after an hour I was more than ready to go. Next time I'll try absolutely any other pool other than this one.
