Large, public pool featuring water slides, diving boards and a kiddie area.
The pools at the Taylorsville Outdoor Pool are typically heated to maintain a comfortable temperature for swimmers, generally ranging between 80 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit (27-29 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Taylorsville pool generally offers a fun and spacious experience suitable for all ages, featuring lap lanes, diving boards, a kiddie pool, hot tub, and zero-entry area. Many patrons appreciate that it's often not overcrowded, allows outside food and coolers (no glass), and has a snack stand with reasonable prices (despite limited hours). Attentive lifeguards and ample parking are also positive points. However, some significant concerns include operational issues such as a handicapped spot used by staff, attendants informing patrons of the pool's early closure (15 minutes before posted time) only after payment, and allowing swimming in street clothes. One review also mentioned COVID-related restrictions like a 2-hour time limit and mask requirements outside the pool. Minor drawbacks include occasional non-working water slides and a desire for more shaded areas.

Came to the Taylorsville pool on a hot Saturday at opening (12 noon) with two 9 year olds. Perfect size for that age! The adults enjoyed laps, pool lounging, and sitting in the shade (get here at opening for your best chance, or bring your own umbrella/ pop up shade). You can bring your own food and coolers (no glass!) and, although the snack stand is only open for 20 minutes per hour, the prices are great! Snack food only - candy, chips, drinks and ice cream. The pool areas had enough room while we were here - not overcrowded. I will happily come back!
Looked like a fun enough pool. Took my kids there today. First thing I noticed was they had a handicapped spot marked off for staff parking which is concerning to begin with. Then I go to pay and the attendant waits until after I have paid to tell me to tell me "just so you know we close in an hour" which is really 45 minutes cause they kick everyone out 15 minutes before close. I know this because my husband listened to 3 lifeguards gossiping about patrons being upset about the pool actually closing 15 earlier than the time listed. Also they are allowing people to swim in full street clothes which is disgusting. Fully unsatisfied with Taylorsville pool on this day.
It's very fun you might see people you know so if you go alone you will have someone to chill with the tables are nice but I mostly like the little hill! It is pretty loud but you can't stop people from having fun so yeah!
This pool is huge and nice. There’s a water slide, a few diving boards, kiddie pool, hot tub, lanes to do swimming. There are also a few tables where you can lounge. Due to social distancing they only allow 2 hours and if you want to stay longer you’ll have to pay again. Also due to covid you have to wear a mask the entire time you are NOT in the swimming pool. There is a lot of parking as well.
This pool is great! Not too packed to where you can't swim! We came on a Friday @3pm-ish. 5 lifeguards that seem to be paying attention. Zero entry (think thats what it's called) which I love. The only downer is the slide wasn't working! But things happen. Thats the only reason I deducted a star. No crazy rude kids was really nice & the kiddie part was great for the littles & anyone really! Have tables with umbrellas & some shade spots but not a ton. Has grass too. Just more shade would be nice! Good for all ages, alone or with family!
