What are people saying (AI review summary)? The YMCA generally receives high praise for its gym facilities, which are described as clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped with a variety of options including weights, cardio, group classes, pools, and basketball courts. The staff is frequently highlighted as friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, contributing to a family-friendly atmosphere. Summer camps and sports programs for children are also highly rated, with kids enjoying themed weeks, swimming, and fun, non-serious learning of game mechanics. However, there are significant criticisms regarding payment processing and customer service, with reports of recurring membership issues, a lack of follow-up, unreturned calls, and unresponsive management, particularly noted for the Mel Korum GM, despite some positive individual interactions with specific employees like Lucy Gomez and Gordon.

I've been going to the YMCA gym for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I need—from free weights and machines to cardio equipment and group fitness classes. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. I especially appreciate the inclusive, family-friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, there's something for everyone here. The pool, basketball court, and wellness programs are great additions that make the membership totally worth it. Highly recommend the YMCA gym to anyone looking for a supportive and motivating place to work out!
It was my kid’s first experience and first week of attending summer camp at YMCA. She had a great time and she likes to go everyday. Also, I like the fact that this summer camp has different theme every week, and swimming fun during the week. Also, different activities within the whole summer as I had acquired from the staff for what they will do. Thank you YMCA for the fun summer for my kid!🧒
This is a great gym worth the price. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Recently we got the best customer service from a woman named Lucy Gomez! I highly recommend this gym.
Lack of proper follow-up up when they are the ones who process payment. 4 month in a row that I've had issues, yet payment for swim membership is taken every month without a problem! I take the time to settle, and sign the waiver to then have to do this all over again the next month! You call and ask for someone else to assist you, leave a message and not receive a call back. Done trying to fix something that is not my issue! Not chasing any employee to 'fix something that is not mine to fix'! Update: Good to Gordon! They were the ones who helped fix an issue that was not theirs! Still haven't received a call nor an email from the GM of Mel Korum. Lack of customer service to the highest degree! Employees and management should be trained better.
Great place for your kids to play baseball and other sports. The environment is awesome it tries to teach simple basic game mechanics to the children without it being so serious that the kids don't have fun.
