Community-focused gym featuring a heated pool, sauna and steam bath, plus basketball and volleyball courts.
The Edward Jones YMCA typically maintains its lap pool at approximately 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C), while its warm water or therapy pool is usually kept at a warmer temperature, around 88-90°F (31.1-32.2°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Edward Jones YMCA present a mixed picture. While some members praise the 'beautiful facility' with 'state-of-the-art equipment' and highlight positive interactions with helpful staff members like Kaylee (for tours) and Melanie (for classes), significant issues are reported. Key complaints include a lack of family support, with one parent denied entry with children due to Kids Zone capacity, and another describing an unpleasant and unwelcoming experience with a lifeguard in the children's pool area. Several reviews mention unhelpful or unpleasant front desk staff. A major concern is the difficulty in canceling memberships, with users reporting continued unauthorized charges and multiple fees, leading to credit card disputes and complaints to the Better Business Bureau. Furthermore, some facility aspects, such as equipment being 'outdated' and cleanliness of locker rooms and pool areas being 'below standard,' were criticized, contradicting the positive views on equipment and facility beauty.

As a working mom, I was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at the Edward Jones YMCA. I was denied entry simply because I had my children with me — despite the fact that the facility’s own Kids Zone is frequently at capacity. It’s frustrating and disheartening that there’s such little flexibility or support for parents, especially when the Y promotes itself as a family-friendly community center. Beyond this experience, the facility itself leaves much to be desired. The equipment is noticeably outdated and not well maintained, and the cleanliness of the locker rooms and pool area and workout areas is below standard. The front desk staff can be unpleasant to deal with as the way they refused me to get in with my kids was shouting and people behind me could heard. For the membership fees they charge, I expected far better service, upkeep, and a more welcoming atmosphere for families. Sadly, this experience has made it clear that this location is not considerate of the needs of working parents. I hope the leadership seriously reevaluates how they support families — especially moms who are simply trying to prioritize their health.
Try to cancel my membership back in June 2025. Had to go online and fill out paperwork. Thought it was canceled and find out.I'm still getting charged every month!! Plus there are some multiple fees ??!Spoke to them multiple times prior and no one cancel over the phone.Cancel your membership! They want to take your money but don't want to let go of it monthly!!!!! I contacted the credit card company and i'm disputing the charges!! Fix the process!!!!!!! I'm also filing a complaint with the better business bureau!!
Beautiful facility with state of the art equipment. Out of town visit for me and everyone was so nice! Special shout out to Melanie for letting me join her spin class late! Thank you! 😀
Kaylee gave me a tour of the facility, She did a great job in showing me the many amenities they have and asking questions about what activities would interest me the most. She was super friendly and helpful and ultimately convinced me to get a membership! So far i’ve attended 2 group exercise classes and everyone is super sweet. Would recommend to all my neighbors.
I was excited to take my grandchildren here to swim. I had contacted the Y the day before and was assured that the children's pool was open. When we arrived today I was told that that part of the pool was closed but to ask the guard if useable. When we entered the pool on the lap lane side we started there but the guard said he preferred if we would go to the children's area. The water was available but not any of the equipment which defeated the purpose of going and what I had specifically asked about earlier. I understand that there was just one guard and it may be difficult to watch the whole pool but that is why I called ahead. The most unsatisfactory part of the swim experience was the male guard. It felt like we were an imposition to him. I was there in the pool with my grandchild and no other children. There were about 6 other patrons in the lap lanes. The guard did not allow the 2 boys to touch each other. They were just holding on two each other playing around and I was right there correcting if necessary. Toward the end of the time my grandson just sat on the end of the non functioning slide. He was told to get off. This experience was not very pleasant and my grandchild felt that it and didn't understand what was going on. We were there about an hour and left. I realize this was a type of change in the routine of the day but it was not a warm welcoming experience except from the front desk. I swim daily at a Y closer to me so I know there are routines and rules but I was not impressed with the experience.
