Public pool featuring a lazy river and separate areas for adults and children.
Specific pool temperatures for the Sunset Hills Aquatic Facility are not consistently published. As an outdoor seasonal facility, the water temperature of its various pools, lazy river, and slides typically fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and solar heating, generally being comfortable for summer swimming.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews highlight significant issues at the facility, particularly concerning lifeguard performance and concession stand operations. Multiple serious incidents were reported where lifeguards failed to respond promptly to near-drowning events; in one instance, lifeguards allegedly laughed at a child after a rescue, causing severe distress. The concession stand received numerous complaints regarding slow service (up to 30 minutes), rude staff, incorrect or incomplete orders, extra charges for basic items like sauce, and one report of food-borne illness. Several users also expressed frustration over unresponsive management to their concerns. While some reviews mentioned the pool and locker rooms were nice and it's a good place to cool off, these positive aspects were largely overshadowed by serious safety concerns and poor customer service.

A great place to cool off during the summer. But the organization of the concession stand needs to be worked on. There was 2 teenagers taking orders and making food. Multiple groups of people waiting 25+ minutes for their food. After waiting so long, I only got 2 out of the 3 items that I ordered. I didn’t say anything to them because it just wasn’t worth it at that point, and I know it wasn’t their fault. Needs to be an adult back there helping.
Both my daughters and their friend went here to have a great time. Unfortunately, my daughter started to drown and none of the life guards acted in a timely manner. My daughter’s friend was very upset that no one came to her aid she ended up going to help her. Eventually the life guards came, but instead of helping my daughter and making her feel better, they laughed at her. They continued to laugh and make faces towards her to the point that my daughters and their friend become very uncomfortable and left. Very sad that it’s your job to save people and all you do is laugh at their near death experiences. If they did it to my daughter, I am sure they have done it to others. I was highly upset when I found out what happened. Called the manager and have yet to receive a call back. Spoke to the head lifeguard on duty and let her know my frustrations. I hope these life guards are removed. They don’t deserve to be in that role.
Concession staff is rude. Took 30 minutes to get our food then they forgot a fry (said I didn't order it) which took another ten minutes. None of the food comes with any sauce you have to pay extra. Ended up throwing away the last fries we ordered because kids were done eating by then. Then one of the kids got sick. Reached out to management who did not respond to my concern. Too many pools to pick from. Next time I'll pick one that has standards.
The pool and locker rooms are nice just a little bit crowded. I had I dive meet there, and the amount of people made it SO hot.
One of my friends almost drowned this weekend and no one got up once they saw she was drowning so i had to try and save her myself and then we finally got saved after all the lifeguards had came over.
