What are people saying (AI review summary)? CCRC garners overwhelmingly positive reviews, consistently described as a "fabulous" and "happy place" with a laid-back, welcoming, and down-to-earth atmosphere. Patrons praise the friendly, accommodating staff and ownership, highlighting their efforts to create a fun environment, especially for children. The facilities are considered top-notch, featuring numerous courts, an excellent outdoor pool, and delicious food and drinks. The youth tennis program and lessons are highly lauded as the best in St. Louis, significantly benefiting children's skills and social development. However, one review sharply criticizes the indoor court lighting, calling it the 'worst' due to blinding effects and persistent after-images. Other negative points include an unpopular mandatory pre-registration and prepayment policy for USTA matches, and discomfort with court heaters running continuously during winter matches.

Worst lights out of any indoor courts in St Louis. If you can hit an overhead here without being blinded by a light after image for the next 60 seconds then bravo. I also hate having to register and prepay before a USTA match which this place requires. They may see that as convenient but most players I've talked to do not like it as well. Courts conditions are fine except that I don't like that they run those court heaters during your whole match in the winter. Beginning of the day makes sense but after a few hours those don't need to be on in my opinion. I sweat enough on the courts without those.
CCRC is such a fabulous place. When one of my kids was ill and unable to come to tennis for a few weeks, they were so accommodating and sensitive to our situation. They are always so friendly and nice to work with - the facility is top notch and the food is delicious. Best youth tennis program in STL!
We're members, so I'm probably biased, but CCRC is a great place for our family. Lots of courts, nice pool, good food, and good drinks. It has a very down-to-earth feel, not at all pretentious. Casual. Easy. Welcoming.
Can't say enough about how much my wife and I love this club. Great, laid-back atmosphere, friendly people, excellent food, and always a good time. The owners consistently go out of their way to make sure there is always something fun to do, especially for the kids.
This is one of my happy places. The facilities are great (in addition to the courts they have an outdoor pool space that is top notch). My son and daughter take tennis lessons and you can usually find me at the bar/restaurant in the clubhouse eating burgershire soup (if you're ever there in a cold season ask for it, you'll thank this review later) and enjoying a cocktail. Warm seasons I bring the family there and you can usually find me pool side enjoying one of the best local treasures I was fortunate to have found prior. The staff all the way up through ownership are friendly, fun and make membership feel truly worthwhile. The tennis lessons have been top notch and my children have benefited overall both from a tennis skillset and the relationships they formed with their instructor. All in all, I would recommend CCRC to anyone (but shhhh don't let too many people know because it's never overly crowded!). I'm not a person who writes reviews often but it is well deserved in this case.
