I don’t live in greenbelt and came from Columbia to take my two kids and cousins to the indoor pool. I extensively looked at the website for open hours, admission etc. upon arrival there was a big sign saying that the indoor pool was closed (no where stated on website) and also the outdoor pool is only open to greenbelt residents on the weekend resulting in me and my children to have to go elsewhere. Disappointed In the lack of info on website and waste of time
Front desk is absolutely terrible. Weekend access is limited to Greenbelt residents, which is completely understandable. However, they have a completely outdated policy of only accepting proof of residency via a physical ID or a mortgage statement. I didn’t have either on me at the time as I had walked over (only a digital ID and bills I could pull up on my phone.) Despite explaining that I’ve lived in Greenbelt for decades and offered to show online utility bills (which by the way the MVA accepts as proof of residency) they refused to believe my residency. After a few minutes, she began acting busy and ignoring me, even though my greenbelt taxes pay her salary!!! I ended up having to walk 30 minutes back home in the sweltering heat. It completely ruined the day.
The outdoor pool was closed because someone pooped in the pool. Another little boy got sick and they shut the pool down for 2 days. But the manager and people at front desk will lie to you on purpose And tell you it’s nothing “MAJOR”
The woman in front is from a terrible disgusting service. The one with clear eyes should run her for terrible service. She is there eating and reluctantly answers any questions. I arrived with my children and says come to the pool so you can see that they are closed. Horrible way of answering. It is a family place to have heavy people working like this.
