Public swimming pool with two pools and dressing rooms, offering water aerobics classes.
The main lap pool at Wakefield Aquatics Center is typically maintained at a temperature between 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C). The instructional/therapy pool is kept warmer, usually ranging from 88-90°F (31.1-32.2°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed view of the facility, highlighting both strengths and significant areas for improvement. Positive aspects include well-maintained pools, generally good water quality, friendly staff (especially for classes), and effective water aerobics instruction. Users appreciate easy parking and often find the pool not crowded during off-peak hours. However, significant concerns were raised regarding customer service, particularly the inability of staff to provide pricing information. Both men's and women's locker rooms received criticism; the men's room could use more frequent cleaning, while the women's shower area suffers from drainage issues, flooding, broken showers, faulty lights, and a non-functional swimsuit dryer. Several users also noted the absence of hand/hair dryers and working suit dryers, possibly due to COVID-19. Other suggestions for improvement include better advertising for classes, extended operating hours, and addressing the overcrowding that occurs during Saturday lessons.

I go to the 8:30 AM water aerobics class - Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Wakefield High School. The school staff is great, very helpful. The pool and facilities are well maintained. Karen the instructor is a terrific instructor. I get so much out of this class and enjoy it. It should be advertised better.
I called to get a pricing for the classes the woman in the phone and the manager (Justin he said) literally said had no idea about the pricing and told me to email somebody lol crazy!! Do better
The pool and facility is great, staff is friendly, and if you choose the right times lanes are available. The water quality is really good! But lets be honest; it's at a high school and the men's looker room could often use an extra cleaning. The facility gets really crowded on Saturday's during lessons. I wish they would stay open an extra hour,.
This is a great pool facility. It will be nice when they return the locker rooms to full operating ability. The hand/hair dryers and suit dryer would be especially nice during the colder months. Assume they are off due to COVID.
Water is ok, salty somehow but no complaints since it’s a public pool. Parking is easy. Not crowded. I typically go there after work and I can always find a spot. Women’s shower room can really use some improvement. Drainage is not working, shower area is flooded, a lot of showers don’t work properly and some of the lights are broken. Swimming suit dryer is broken.
