What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Oxon Hill Recreation Club are sharply divided. Many visitors rave about the club, praising its beautifully decorated entrance with plants and art, the Olympic-sized pool with clean, pristine blue water, and expansive grounds that offer a private, natural feel. They also highlight the friendly, welcoming community, delicious homemade food at potlucks, and fun events like 'Sip and Dips.' The women's restroom is also noted for its artistic purple paint. Conversely, a substantial number of negative reviews describe a very poor experience, citing the pool as filthy with mold, dirt, and bugs, not up to code, and the bathrooms as dirty. Some also found the $10 per person non-member fee too high for an outdated facility, preventing them from enjoying the visit at all.

I loved my experience at Oxon Hill Recreation Club! I have been invited by a friend to several incredible potlucks. Everyone there seems to be a gourmet chef. All the food was homemade and delicious! Walking through the entrance was like walking into a wonderland because the entrance is beautifully decorated with plants and very artistic artwork. (See Photos below) And the pool is Olympic size!!! The water is very blue and pristine! They clean the pool and skim the surface constantly. The grounds are very expansive, so it feels like you’re swimming in a private pool surrounded by nature. The women’s restroom was painted in a beautiful purple that was very artistic! The entire visit was amazing! I can’t say enough positive things about my day at the Oxon Hill Recreation Club! The Oxon Hill Recreation Club is like a huge warm family. Everyone is friendly and very welcoming. They have fun events all summer such as the Sip and Dips on Friday nights, when you can drink wine and swim, plus potlucks with delicious home-cooked food on Sunday afternoons. People come from far and wide to attend and participate. A man drove all the way from Haymarket, VA, to attend recently.
This was the worst pool I ever been too. I paid 30 bucks we was NOT even able to swim or enjoy it. The pool was filthy with mold and dirt in then it was bugs EVERYWHERE. I wish I took a picture of how nasty this pool was. The pool isn’t up to code at all like I was discussed and even my kid didn’t want to get in how nasty it was. The kids was even ready to go and we was even there 30 minutes. PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO HERE.
Didn't like it don't clean enough the bathroom was all dirty and the water of the pool didn't see it clean.
Didn’t even make it in. Talking about $10 per person for non members. Pool to outdated to be charging that much money
If you are at the national Harbor like I was in your hotel does not have a pool, you gotta visit the Oxen Hill Recreation Club. This is an Olympic size pool where professionals train but more than that you can have a picnic. You can host a party. You can do just about anything there, but most of all, you will have a lot of fun playing in the water.
