Chattahoochee Gold Swim, located at 103B Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188, USA, is a facility operated by the Chattahoochee Gold swim team. It features a 6-lane, 25-yard indoor pool primarily used for swim practices and training.
The pool temperature at Chattahoochee Gold Swim's Woodstock location is typically maintained between 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility presents a mixed but increasingly concerning picture. While certain aspects, particularly the aquatics and aquarobics instructors (like Carol), competitive swim coaches (like Bobby), and the initial stages of swim lessons (like with Ms. Ginger) receive high praise for their quality, dedication, and positive impact on swimmers' skills, confidence, and safety, there are significant recent complaints. Over the past 18 months, there has been a steady decline in the aquatics program, especially for seniors and the chronically ill, attributed to poor management, staffing changes, and a perceived lack of value for these patrons. Issues include passive-aggressive signs, climate control problems, unfriendly attitudes, and frequent, unannounced closures. While the pools are generally noted for cleanliness and maintenance, some swim lesson patrons experienced inconsistency in teaching staff after initial stages, leading to prolonged enrollment without fully learning to swim. Competitive swimmers generally laud the coaches for fostering teamwork and development, despite some typical industry turnover.

Update December 2024: After visiting this facility 2-3 times a week for 18 months, I’ve seen a steady decline due to staffing changes and poor management. It’s heartbreaking to see a facility that helped so many seniors and chronically ill people regain mobility treat them this way. From the new passive aggressive signs to climate/heating issues and unfriendly attitudes, they’ve made it obvious that they don’t value the aquatics patrons. They tend to have closures without notice, even after explicitly saying they’ll be open. It’s frustrating and increasingly frequent. The swim and aquarobics instructors are wonderful so hopefully the owners can step in to get things back on track. —————————————————— Original: This place is a hidden gem for aquatics and lap swim. The aquatics class is great for gentle rehab from any kind of injuries or surgery and Carol is the best instructor! She makes everyone feel welcome and makes sure we get the most out of our time in the water. The pools are always clean and the crew is clearly serious about the chlorine levels. I can’t speak for their swim lessons but i usually exit lap swim right as they are in progress. The kids always look happy and engaged. Highly recommend Gold Swim and their team!
I swim here competitively since 2023, and can personally vouch for the quality of the coaches, Bobby in particular. He helped me get over a lot of anxiety (social and generally) and I've made strong bonds with my team over the two seasons I've been here. Coach Bobby loves to challenge swimmers and knows each person's strengths and weaknesses, and his feedback is always constructive and empathetic. He believes in each swimmer's potential to push themselves, and I think this goes for all the coaches. As for the facility, aside from 1 or 2 incidents of cloudy water in the team pool after heavy rain, the pool is generally clean (and heated in winter.) The deck is clean, organized, well-lit, and as safe as a pool deck can be, and there's enough equipment if you forget your own. Recommend for anyone who wants to swim, whether just learning, competing, or for recreation.
We have been here over a month now and I see so much progress! Ms Ginger is absolutely amazing! My daughter likes her alot and trusts her! I love how they teach them to swim with all the Safety that comes with it!! I really feel she will be swimming by summer. I am very happy with everything so far. Edit… it started out fantastic with Mrs Ginger but once we moved up to second class the teacher wasn’t consistent. We had a different one each week and with swimming your comfort level leaves when you don’t know your teacher. So I made for 4-5 months of swimming classes and she improved but never actually learned how to swim. If I could go back and just stick with Mrs Ginger she probably would have. So I took her out and found a private lady not the crazy one Iv heard about but a different lady towards ball ground and she was fantastic. My daughter was swimming by herself by her second class with this other lady Lena Fowler Painter is her name you can find on FB absolutely amazing and I didn’t have to waste hundreds of dollars for months to learn how to swim.
My daughter swims year round with Chattahoochee Gold, and we love the program. She has a great group of friends on the team. They push each other in practice and at meets. Although there was some recent turnover in coaching, this is typical for the industry, and we have found the quality of coaching to be very good. We really appreciate the team's approach to overall development of the kids, teaching the importance of teamwork, community and character, not only athletic performance.
We have had two children here for 3 years now. We have had great instructors and our kids have loved it. As a parent (our kids a younger), it has made it nice that they not only teach them to swim but also teach a lot of safety and in small classes. Our kids learned at the age of two to get out of the pool, call for help, etc, but in a fun way. If you haven’t thought about it, get your young ones enrolled! Your pool and beach trips will be much more fun and relaxing!
