What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Borgata pools and overall MGM experience show a mix of positive and negative feedback. Many appreciate the Borgata's pools (MGM Tower and Outdoor), citing their relaxing atmosphere, amenities like chairs and umbrellas, and access to the Beer Garden. Guests enjoy the option to find sun or shade and bring insulated cups for water. However, there are significant complaints regarding watered-down and overpriced drinks, expensive food with small portions, and a 'disgusting' buffet. The casino's smell, issues with biting green-headed flies at the pool, excessively loud music, and audible bird deterrents were also points of dissatisfaction. Restrictions on bringing outside beverages like coffee or water, and the inability to order coffee at the pool, were also noted. Some VIP experiences at other MGM properties were also criticized for subpar offerings.

This is one of the best things MGM has done for Borgata. I like the MGM Tower pool to relax for a short time or when I also want to get into a hot tub. The Borgata Outdoor pool has a lot more chairs, umbrellas and it’s a much larger pool. It’s also attached to the Beer Garden. Both pools get busy early on weekends. I like keeping out of the sun so arriving early allows me to get an umbrella before they are all taken. Sometimes we take a chair in the back corner where there is artificial grass and a few trees giving shade but are taken early. You can’t bring any food or drinks into the pool area but can bring in an insulated cup like a Yeti. They have ice and a water cooler. After laying around for a while my wife and I will get into the pool. The pool has benches style seating all around the edge of the pool and you can always find sun or shade as you relax in the pool. After the pool we like to have lunch at our lounge chairs. You can also go to the Beer Garden to have drinks, food or play some games. We like their grilled chicken sandwich, salad and sometimes we order french fries.
My husband and I and two other friends were there from Tuesday to Thursday. The pools were fantastic. But I do have a question, does anybody know when these pools close outside? Are they open past Labor Day or do they close on Labor Day? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere.
We always enjoy coming to this pool but on this day the green headed flies were biting and bad. I’m shocked that they don’t spray and have deterrents for this. Unfortunately we had to leave after getting bit at least five times.
Watered down drinks, don't offer a 20 dollar cup for a drink then water it down with club or sprite. Lol Also prices for food are absolutely insane portions are so small. Your casino smells like a dirty ashtray and omg that 12.99 Buffet downstairs is so disgusting its like 2 day old cafeteria food. Do better Borgata there are so many other places customers can go. Aria in vegas 40 dollars for a pool drink INSANE and your VIP Room offering Munckins and mixed nuts, stale crackers with dip to its vip customers....laughable !!!! MGM In Maryland needs to step up their game as well cookies offered to its VIP customers and u ran out at 1pm and offered nothing to your vip customers in place of the cookies !!! So dissapointing how many chances do we give MGM before we just change properties and take our money elsewhere??
Experience at this pool has declined. Music is blasting from all angles. They play high pitched sounds to curb birds from landing, that is audible by humans. Can't bring water or coffee in and you cant even order a coffee inside.
