Day spa at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa offering massages, facials, and other treatments, plus a barbershop and salon.
Spa Toccare itself primarily focuses on treatment rooms and relaxation areas and does not feature large swimming pools with publicly listed temperatures. However, guests of the Borgata Hotel, which houses Spa Toccare, have access to several heated pools across the resort (such as the Borgata Indoor Pool and The Water Club pools), which are typically maintained at comfortable temperatures for year-round enjoyment. Any internal hydrotherapy facilities within Spa Toccare, like whirlpools or plunge pools, would also be heated for guest comfort.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for the spa present a predominantly negative experience, despite some acknowledging clean facilities, light refreshments, and comfortable robes. Major complaints include overpriced and subpar massages where therapists failed to meet expectations or specific requests. Nail services were heavily criticized for poor quality, lack of durability, undisclosed overcharges, and unhelpful booking policies. Customer service was frequently described as 'unprofessional' and 'terrible,' with staff giving guests 'the run around' and being unresponsive to issues. Furthermore, the spa's physical condition raised concerns due to mentions of mildew/algae in whirlpools, a noisy/broken sauna door, and an overall dated ambiance needing an upgrade. Many reviewers expressed disappointment and advised against visiting, recommending alternatives due to the poor value and service.

Just okay. I had the custom massage. The masseuse was definitely not into her job that morning (a Sunday). The massage was poorly managed, time-wise. My biggest concern areas were my left shoulder and lower back. Although I requested she only massage those areas, she massaged the Right shoulder longer than the Left, and had maybe 5-10 minutes spent on the lower back. When I informed her that I preferred firm pressure, she kinda laughed. She preceded to massage the same light pressure way she started with. Just an okay massage, and I've had better. Guess she knew the 20% tip would be added, regardless of the quality massage she was giving. The spa was also just okay. The spa area consisted of a sauna, a steam room, and three whirlpool areas, all of which were black around the top of the tile with mildew. YUCK. There were showers and a dressing area that adequately provided the essentials. I will say the robes were extra roomy and very nice.
They overcharged me for doing my nails (added %25) more without telling me. The service was terrible too. They would want to use fans to dry the nail polish to conserve in energy. They also don’t use a top coat. 😳 The rep. Also refused to book me and my friends all together and we all went in at different times as a result. Beware also that if you book nail services, they would NOT let you into the women’s spa where there’s a hot tub. The front desk employees are also not friendly and have a terrible attitude. Go next door at Harrahs and don’t waste your money on this terrible place.
I have the opportunity to frequent the spa I give the staff and technicians 5 stars and 1/2 for ambiance. It’s time to upgrade!! Especially when you experience the spa at Hardrock or Ocean . I’m here today and is this mold or algae?
Unprofessional!! Worst customer service ever!!! Manicure doesn’t last 8 hours, forget 24hrs!!! Run!!!!! Don’t waste your valuable time and money!!! The employees at this spa tried to give me the run around for a Complimentary manicure that was granted to me in June due to polish nails that didn’t last 24hrs. I had to call several times( Daphne stated that the complimentary mani was not in their system and I wouldn’t be granted the manicure) When I called back to speak directly to her she was unavailable and I was told that she would call me back or email me. It never happened. So, after waiting 24 hours I called again. She was still unable to be reach. Finally I asked for the manager of the spa and she was out to lunch and wasn’t sure when she was returning. I called back and stated that I was going to stop in and reach out to corporate. Well, finally I got a call back from Daphne honoring my complimentary mani. No-one should ever have this negative experience in dealing with spa services!! Definitely reaching out to corporate with names of their unprofessional employees!!!
We recently visited the spa and this was my second time coming back. The spaces are clean and well kept by staff. The women's side had light refreshments in the lounge/waiting area which was a nice treat. The robes provided were soft and plush. I used the sauna which was fine, except for the noise level coming from a large group in the adjacent hot tub. (sauna door wasn't fully closing and was broken) We enjoyed a couple's massage and while it was overall a nice experience, I don't think it was worth the price that we were charged. I have had much better massages at more standard places which was disappointing, considering the costly fees you are charged. Overall, I think I would skip this experience on my next trip back but think it is worth it if you haven't tried it before.
