Cool, winding/rocky trails on the border, but the park itself feels pretty rundown. No one's fault, just budgets I'm sure. The pool is completely off limits with major fencing around it. No lifeguards might be the issue. This image is of one of the gems I did find.
What a nice area! I just wish the grounds were more taken care of.
A beautiful walk. You can forget you are in the city and get lost amongst the birds and squirrels and lizards and the wonderful trees shrubs and wildflowers
I like the park. They renovated it recently. The splash pad is pretty cool. The issue that I had today was that the only water fountain is at the bathroom and it doesn't work. I ran out of water while running and figured i would be good from refilling. It was rough. The train was not moving on the track either so I couldn't go to the store for water. Good Park. Just make sure to bring water if it's hot.
This park has a lot to offer. Swimming, playground equipment, and a nice walking / biking trail. Supposedly it takes 60 minutes to walk it, but in this Austin humidity; we opted to go part way. I love the nature along the way such as cactuses and trees. Really a nice find in the middle of the city!
