What are people saying (AI review summary)? The swimming school receives high praise for its excellent instructors, who are described as patient, kind, enthusiastic, and effective in helping children learn new skills, improve significantly, and become safe, comfortable swimmers. Specific instructors like Carolyn and Liana are highlighted positively. However, a significant number of concerns are raised regarding administrative and billing practices. Issues include tricky auto-renewal policies requiring 30-day cancellation notices (even for one-month sign-ups), a lack of transparency in communication, and unresponsive office staff. Some customers felt the policies were 'scammy' and noted inflexibility regarding refunds for young children who did not enjoy the water. One reviewer expressed disappointment over minimal progress and frequent, uncommunicated teacher changes over an extended period. Despite the administrative issues, many would still recommend the school, suggesting communication via email to avoid errors.

The swimming classes were excellent! My 5YO was able to learn a lot of new skills and we were very happy with all of the instructors, especially Carolyn and Liana. I’m leaving a 4 star review because we had some issues with office staff. I would still recommend the school but maybe do all of your communication via email so there is no room for error.
Swim classes are great and instructors are very patient. They work with your kids and are very well trained. Great staff. They are tricky with what you sign up with though. Told them verbatim “I want to sign my kids up for one month of classes” and was curious why I got charged again the second month. After calling I was told that i had to give 30 days notice (which would mean I would have to give cancellation notice the day I signed up). I would think that when I said “I want to sign up for one month of classes” they would have said “we auto renew you automatically even if you only want to sign up for one month and it’s in the fine print so please give your notice of cancellation today as well.” If that was their policy. Called and tried to resolve things and just get the “well you signed the form” answer. Also was told my 2 year old would do great. She ended up hating the water and no refunds allowed. Just wish they had a more flexible policy for young children. Just be careful what you sign up for, it can feel a little scammy. Reply to Owner: We were able to repurpose the unused swim lessons from my two year old, for my older child. But only if we paid for another month of lessons (that we didn’t sign up for in the first place).
Amazing instructors! My daughter has improved significantly since starting swimming lessons at the British School.
After two years of consistent weekly lessons, we have seen little progress and many switches of teachers which is not the fault of swim school but not properly communicated and has hindered being able to move up levels. We had mastered certain skills (child is capable) but all the changes has created two steps forward, three steps back. Skills learned were minimal. Had high hopes but overall disappointed.
Students always have a positive experience in classes. The teachers are patient, kind, and enthusiastic! The staff is accepting of feedback regarding the website/app interface, input about my student. Staff is also very helpful with make-up lesson scheduling. My student has become a safe and comfortable swimmer with 3 basic strokes capable of multiple laps in the pool in about two years. Age 6-8.
