Public pool with a diving board and a walking trail.
Specific, maintained pool temperatures for the Tanglewood Forest Swimming Pool are not typically published. As an outdoor public facility, its water temperature is generally unheated and varies with the seasonal air temperatures, providing comfortable swimming conditions during its operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool receives largely negative feedback due to operational and management issues. Common complaints include a lack of clearly posted rules (e.g., for music, general conduct, or a new 'no kids in the last hour' policy), and the unsanitary condition of the wade pool. The diving board is permanently closed despite past promises, and even in the deep end, flips are prohibited. Party bookings are a major source of frustration due to miscommunication about time slots, insufficient setup time, high costs, and unhelpful young staff who are perceived as unprofessional and poorly trained. While some reviewers appreciate the presence of lifeguards and shaded areas, there is a pervasive theme of poor communication, inconsistent rule enforcement, and general dissatisfaction, leading many patrons to seek other pools.

Strange they don’t have the pool rules posted. First I’d like to say “thank you” to the lifeguards for showing up and keeping us all safe. I know there are many neighborhood pools that can’t open due to staffing shortages. Not sure what the contract between the pool and Safe Guard Aquatics who provides the life guards say but it does not include cleaning. The wade pool was absolutely disgusting. Giant clumps of hair, bird feathers, plastic wrappers and other debris was present in the pool at opening. What I did notice was the life guards constantly monitoring the chlorine levels. The diving board is permanently closed. I asked one of the life guards and she said it will not be repaired and will eventually be removed. There is diving in the still allowed in the deep end but NO FLIPS of any kind! I was told after my second flip. I liked that there was lots of shaded areas. There’s nothing in the rules about playing music. I figured since no one else was playing any I won’t either. It might be another unposted rule.
I’ve been going to the pool for a really long time the one thing that I hate about this is every year they said “ the diving board is gonna open” but just never does
Upon making reservation for my son's 13th birthday party, i was told by the girl working at the door that the time slot was a 3 1/2 hr window and not to worry about getting there right at three and that we probably wouldn't have to leave at the exact time either. So thinking we had much more time than we ACTUALLY had, and the fact that you can't get in early to decorate for the party, I pushed the party to 4. So we get there, I spend 45 minutes setting up and about 15 minutes in the water and they come around and say we have ten minutes to leave. We hadn't even opened presents yet. It seems to me that there is a huge gap in communication and our they just like to ruin people's day. This is all after paying almost $50 for everyone attending. They obviously don't want people to get there on time as it's less work for them. I was lied to and then cheated out of being able to give my son, turning a teenager, a nice party. They had less than an hr to swim because of lazy, lying kids running a pool. I asked to speak to the manager and she was a young girl who looked about 13 herself. Who did absolutely NOTHING to help and had a snooty attitude. Don't waste your time or money on this tiny, poorly run pool. My family and I live just down the road and will be visiting other pools from now on. They shouldn't let kids run something as serious as a pool. They all should be retrained on the rules and regulations because they are obviously NOT all on the same page.
They closed the board but it was a really good place anyway.
We live in your district, we even had a family season pass last summer. We didn't purchase one this summer. It's been so hot, I figured we can take the kids around 7 when the sun is setting. We were told no kids for the last hour of being open. We have never had this rule, ever. My 3 kids, and a few others were all turned away by a tall older male lifeguard, I never seen him there before. The kids who were lifeguards last summer were great. Get it right. Sincerely, Tanglewood Limited District Resident
