What are people saying (AI review summary)? This Baltimore City pool is highly praised for its recent wonderful renovations, cleanliness, and array of amenities, making it one of the best and a great free option. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and find it offers many activities. However, the experience is significantly hampered by a "horrible" check-in process, restrictions on bringing bags, difficult parking, and a major lack of seating/lounge chairs and sun shelter, which makes it uncomfortable, especially on crowded hot days. There are also mentions of lockers lacking locks, and a perceived senseless pre-swim shower requirement.

The best location in the Baltimore City Parks and Recreation District. I’ve been coming since the 1970’s . I frequently had membership over the years but now it’s free. A very clean and friendly community pool to enjoy.
The pool upgrading is actually great but the rest of the experience is what brings this to only 2 stars. The check in process is nothing short of horrible. Not being able to bring a bag inside is… well doesn’t make sense. The shower before you enter is senseless. Parking isn’t fun either. On beautiful hot days EVERYONE is coming to the nice newly renovated big pool so it’s VERY crowded. Not enough seating is really not accommodating . Not sure if they follow capacity rules. Its just not for us. We stayed maybe 45 mins and left.
The renovations at this pool are wonderful. There was a family having a reunion there when I visited and it was still open to the public which was also nice. The children enjoyed all of the additions to this city pool. By far one of the best pools in the city.
This pool is awesome. I’m giving it 5 stars out of appreciation for the amenities and cleanliness. But why are there no chairs!!? It’s so uncomfortable sitting in the grass especially later in the summer when it’s all dry and pointy and the sun is blazing. There’s also only one umbrella! Please, Baltimore City… give us some lounge chairs and shelter from the sun!
Not from Baltimore: came to swim and it was straight forward and one of the cleanest public pools I’ve been to. So many things to do - not crowded at all. They hilariously made me take a test to swim in the deep end (I’m 33 and a former lifeguard) but then all was fine. Staff was friendly. Cost is FREE. What more can you ask for??? Lockers have no locks. Easy enough to hide your phone in your towel (which you can take) if you forgot a lock.
