Lovely open space, 2 baseball grounds, multiple tennis courts, and pickle ball embedded in those courts. Community swimming pool with life guards, kids' play area, and basketball court are also present. Great place to walk and ride cycles, sit around, and have a picnic. Amazing security with continuous patrolling by the park rangers. You can also find a lot of parking spaces all over the park. We can also find food trucks and ice cream vendors to cool off during the hot summer day.
Everywhere needs parks like this! This park is easy for parents to access with young kids but still tons of fun for big kids. We stayed here an hour but my kids could have played here all day. I love how inclusive this park is. Truly, everywhere needs parks like this.
This is a large park which contains one of the 6 Binghamton Carousel Trail carousels. A great place for families. Lovely pool. Park contains a nod to Rod Serling of Twilight Zone infamy as he grew up nearby. This carousel is celebrating its 100th birthday. Google said carousel closed...we called ahead... This was not accurate...it was open. Lovely playground and good parking as well.
Awesome park. Kid and dog friendly and one of our favorite parks.
Rec Park is truly a hidden gem that I’ve had the pleasure of living next to for over a decade. Though it’s small, the park is absolutely beautiful and perfect for those looking to relax, read a book, or enjoy a peaceful walk with loved ones. The park offers plenty of tables to sit at or the option to hang your hammock under the shade. One of the highlights is the recently renovated tennis courts, with 8 individual tennis fields available for players. There’s also a well-maintained soccer field, two baseball courts, a basketball court, ball field, and spacious ice skating field. During the summer, the outdoor swimming pool is a refreshing escape and a favorite among visitors. One of the park’s most unique features is the historic carousel, which is almost 100 years old and adds a nostalgic charm. The playground is another standout, not just for kids but for adults who can’t resist checking it out too. On weekends, the park comes alive even more when a vending truck stops by, serving delicious fried fish. Whether you’re looking for recreational activities or a peaceful retreat, Rec Park offers something for everyone.
