Public swimming facility offering lifeguards.
Specific, consistent temperature information for The Z Pool (George W. Johnson Park Pool) is not publicly available. As a municipal outdoor pool, its temperature likely varies with the weather and ambient conditions, and it is generally unheated.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This public pool is widely praised for its extremely low admission fees and generally not being overcrowded, even on hot days. While the pool itself is often described as clean and adequately sized, the surrounding facilities, especially the changing areas, receive strong criticism for being dirty, having peeling paint, weathered benches, and lacking privacy. A significant drawback is the cash-only payment policy, which can be inconvenient. Staff members are frequently noted as being young, and there are complaints about unprofessional behavior and inconsistent enforcement of rules, particularly regarding child supervision, with one review alleging possible racial bias in rule application.

Found a great escape from the heat while working in the area . Grand kids loved it and so did my daughter and myself. Adults swim for 75 ¢. Kids for 50¢. They don't take large bills. Def will hit there again even in the heat of 90 plus degrees they weren't overcrowded
Super cheap public pool with a park right outside.
Short on guards today, max capacity is 25. We waited, 3 more came out. We were allowed in. Oh, cash only. I never carry cash, the clerk covered us. Apple pay, cash app or Venmo would be nice.
The pool itself is fine. It's clean and good sized despite the removal of the diving area. However, the rest of the facilities are disgusting. The floors will obviously have dirt but, all the changing areas have peeling paint, weathered benches, dirt on the seats, and there are absolutely no curtains to change privately.
My children were very excited about the pool opening and getting to go swimming this weekend. However, when we arrived at the Z pool today, it was really disappointing. There were about 10 staff/lifeguards whom we’re definitely all high school students some of them maybe just reaching high school were all gathered around in the one little entrance window of the building. The pool was just about empty maybe 10 kids at the most and then after being told that I couldn’t leave my children there, unattended I was frustrated because yesterday the actual day the pool opened there was no problem with them going there and swimming without my supervision so I went and approached the group of employees that were loudly horseplaying and goofing around and asked if it was possible I could run to Price chopper real quick to grab some drinks and waters for the children. I didn’t intend on staying so I didn’t bring anything and they all looked at each other and then continued to tell me that they prefer if I can just grab them up real quick and take them with me which would mean trying to bribe 3 children to get back out of the pool they just got in and just come jump in the car soaking wet so I can literally go one block away and come right back because they cannot stay. During this time of convincing them to get out, I looked around and noticed out of the 10 other children that were there not one of them had a parent or an adult supervising them and that’s when they came to the realization my children are also the only mixed children there. Not to say they’re being racist, but if the shoe fits… i will NOT be going to that pool again!
