Family-friendly facility, complete with a waterside for added fun and lifeguards.
While specific daily temperatures are not always publicly available, public recreational pools like the South Pool are typically heated and maintained at a comfortable range for swimmers. These pools commonly target temperatures in the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit (approximately 80-84°F or 27-29°C) during their operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This community pool receives mixed reviews, generally praised as a great option for families with young children, featuring zero-entry access, a beginner slide, and a playground. Swim instruction is highlighted as top-notch, and some users commend the lifeguards. However, significant concerns are raised regarding the water temperature, with reports of the main pool being too cold and the kiddie pool too hot. A major point of contention is the disruptive behavior of summer camps, who are perceived to monopolize the pool, roughhouse, break rules, and be disrespectful without adequate management, often attributed to young and inexperienced lifeguards or managers. Issues with facilities include an insufficient number of lap lanes, particularly during lessons, and poorly designed/maintained bathrooms. Complaints about the restrooms focus on excessively high toilets in all stalls, poor lighting, and unreliable temperature and water flow in the showers. Suggestions for improvement include longer operating hours, potentially with a winter cover, and expanding overall community fitness amenities.

Given the dearth of Town of Superior amenities it would be nice to have one of the 2 pools open longer with winter covering. Or build a place with ellipticals, bikes, weights, treadmills, have Nia classes (no more Zumba!). Just a place to work out that’s not darned expensive. I don't know how a reviewer thinks it's going to be air conditioned- maybe just the showers?-but I'm fine not freezing when I'm wet. It seemed there was supposed to always be a lap lane open, even during lessons. What happened to that? Kids used to wear snug fitting swim suits and there were almost never pool contamination problems. Then someone who apparently wasn't aware of that invented swim diapers and contamination problems went up. (Yes, there was actual data in support of that.) Diapers have to be 100% leakproof to work- have you seen any that are? Having said that, it doesn't seem to be a big problem at this pool. The showers & toilets! Someone got the idea all public toilets need to be the height for wheelchair transfer, even in a tiny stall, with a plethora of ADA suitable stalls along with adequate regular stalls or a children’s place. Our bodies fight lower GI tract alignment when our feet don’t reach the floor, or just barely. Mine don’t so I know a lot of children’s don’t . The lights are wrong so the stalls are dark caves with uncomfortably high toilets- doable if a child only has to pee but that’s not always how it works. The showers can be a regular source of frustration since it’s not always clear how to set the temperature. Sometimes you’ll have to accept a tiny stream of water or a messy burble that’s uncontrolled, even though a small Speakman showerhead of that kind should be able to give decades of service. Maybe they’re not maintained or they’re only pretending to be a good quality brand. It’s not a hopeless pool & can be a lot of fun so don’t worry about that.
I live literally right next to it so I can go to the pool whenever I want. It's great for kids but it only has one swimming lane. If you want to swim you can go early in the morning it's better.👍👍👍
Our favorite pool by far! Great for the littles with zero entry access and good beginner slide too. Playground is a bonus!
The pool is really cold and the kiddie pool is way to hot. Maybe do a better balance, also some of the life guards are very young as well as the "managers" and they lack the maturity in dealing with people. The summer camps that come there take over the pool and rough house and break most rules I've seen others get in trouble for. I get that the summer camps should be able to go there, I dont agree with them.being aloud to break the rules, be disrespectful to adults and other swimmers.
Great community pool for families. The life guards are great and the swim instruction is top notch. My only complaint is the flaky cell signal but that has nothing to do with the pool itself.
