This gym has everything you could want at a reasonable price. There’s something for everyone: indoor basketball court, racks, weights, machines, hot tub/pool, sauna and classes. The staff is really friendly and the community is positive. My one complaint is I wish there were more classes in the early morning/late evening to accommodate a 9-5 work schedule, but it’s not enough of a complaint to knock my review down to 4 stars. Overall, my husband and I love 24 hour fitness!
Wow! Was I surprised when I walked into this 24-hour fitness. There are some 24 hour fitness that are kind of gross not going to lie, where the showers are not cleaned and wow I was so pleasantly surprised to find that I didn't get grossed out in the shower or the swimming pool. Which is what I mostly do. The fitness area when you walk in, looks so clean and organized as well. And this place is never crowded! A hidden gem.. The staff was incredible too,, especially Sadie. She helped me get set up on my first day here. This location lives up to boulders image! Won't disappoint.
This gym has stopped trying. - Frequently opens late (wouldn't happen if it were actually open 24 hours) - On several days, the opener doesn't show up, today included (wouldn't matter if someone was already inside keeping the gym open for 24 HOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS) - The equipment and facility is dirty and unmaintained. Same hand prints on a mirror for more than a month.(A gym open 24 hours would have plenty of time to clean the mirrors... Oh silly me 24 Hour Fitness isn't open 24 hours) - Worn out cables on cable machine. I've scratched up my arms, legs, and face several times. (If it were open 24 hours, somebody would have noticed. A night guy could be in charge of doing nightly inspections) - Pool chemicals have frequently been an issue. There have been times where just walking into the gym you can taste the pool. (A gym open 24 hours would have caught that) - Remember that one day where all those bugs showed up in Boulder? It happened at this gym too except the gym kinda just let them hang out. Funny, the bugs were allowed to stay in the gym 24 hours and not the people. That tells you how they feel about customers. It took days for someone to think about sweeping them out. Credit given where credit is due, they have all the gym equipment you could possibly need for your workout. But, that is rendered pointless if you are too distracted by the uncleanliness, the unmaintained equipment, the unbreathable air, the insects, or more importantly the gym equipment is locked behind a door that contradicts the huge sign that says 24 Hour Fitness.
I've been member for years. I work out everyday. Dorian, Charolette, and Mia make the atmosphere better with their customer service, work ethic, kindness, and dedication—One BRIGHT star is for them. My review is in hopes to call attention to both health concerns and professional behavioral improvements needed with specific management/leadership at the facility. 1st concern: a few weeks ago, my body was injured.I got a chemical burn to my body from the ribs down from a soak in the jacuzzi. That burn took about 2 weeks to heal from with treatment and this injury affected all areas of my life including lost work. At the time of the incident, several staff were concerned, if not shocked, by how red my body was. 2nd concern: kindness goes far; however, those working did not know where to find an incident report and failed to provide the GM timely details of the incident. I had to follow up myself after days of not hearing from anyone with an expected apology, reassurances and a course of action from my injuries. Staff rightfully closed the jacuzzi after seeing my bright red legs and feet so no others would be harmed. 3rd concern: several employees, including the GM, admitted that staff KNEW that the chemicals were off that day. No one was supposed to be in the water, nor were there signs, signals or anything indicating the jacuzzi was closed. Because of this, I was burned, I lost time and money, my swimwear was completely bleached out and the burns were painful. It took 2 weeks to heal with treatment. The damage to my body impacted my life. 4th concern: all follow through from this incident was initiated by me. The lack of proactive leadership from management, and a tone of indifference for the GM was felt. 5th concern: I witness and feel frustrated seeing a lot of lengthy personal socializing and reputation control at the expense of needed improvements by management. No time to follow up with my concerns because time is eaten up with personal connections and workouts. I also recognize the GM's name, along with several employees and close friends to the GM as the names behind the newest, 5 star reviews on Google Maps—reviews for their own business. This is not only bad form, but manipulative, and goes against Google Maps review platform rules. Federal Trade Commission also frown about such practices. The idea is to have REAL customers share their REAL experiences. That way, the reviews can help other people decide if they want to use the business. I reached out the regional operations manager, Derrick, who used to be the GM there. Derrick did and continues to do an outstanding job providing me the customer service I needed in lieu of what I needed to hear from the acting Boulder Manager. Derrick made reassurances that this sort of problem will be fixed and the spa area maintained with his crew, he actively listened, talked about specifics actions to improve the facility and make it safer for me moving forward. He made me feel valued, expressed that a formal apology and tangible offers to make it right were due. A bright star for his proactive customer service and leadership. Custodial staff and Membership also checked in with me to see how I was doing—Michael, Charolette, thank you! Dorian—always, thank you! Yesterday, corporate made a small offer to me for the incident and my losses. My concerns are still very much at the front of my mind, and the impacts remain. Improvements to the facility, proactively making things right, and higher level of professionalism are needed.
This place sets the bar… I’ve been to many gyms and this one is by far one of the cleanest, most hospitable and welcoming. They have a ton of equipment, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. In particular is Mia, she is great to work with and even gives me pointers, she’s a beast! And I can’t argue with her results and coaching…. I highly recommend you check it out… Cheers!
