What are people saying (AI review summary)? Customer reviews present a mixed but generally critical view of the facility. Positives include appreciation for the large, warm pool, aquatics classes, a wide variety of gym equipment (though some note increasing repair signs), clean locker rooms, and a generally friendly atmosphere among members and staff. However, significant concerns are repeatedly raised regarding the high cost, especially the $20 day pass, which many find exorbitant. Other common criticisms include the need for equipment upgrades, early closing times (9 PM), and issues with facility usage, such as pickleball lessons disrupting basketball court access. Some users also reported declining service quality and unpleasant interactions with staff, suggesting the facility has deteriorated over time.

--- I appreciate the services you provide, but I have some concerns that I hope can be addressed. Many people, including myself, pay significant fees—such as $20 for a day pass—expecting a fair and enjoyable experience. However, there are areas where improvements could be made. First, the equipment could use some upgrades to reflect the value we’re paying for. Additionally, closing times at 9 PM limit the time we have to enjoy the facilities, especially for those of us with busy schedules. Another issue that needs attention is the use of the gym space, specifically for basketball players. On several occasions, pickleball lessons have taken up the court, even when no reservation was made. This feels unfair to those of us who pay to use the basketball facilities and find our time cut short or disrupted. I hope you’ll consider making some changes to improve the experience for all members who come here to work out and use the gym. Thank you for your attention to this matter. ---
I love their pool and aquatics classes. The pool is big and warm even in the winter. The gym has a wide variety of equipment and usually isn't too busy. The locker rooms have everything you need including showers and hair dryers. Everyone is so nice including the staff. It feels like a family.
I have been a member for a year now, during Covid. The location is conveniently near my house. Since the mask policy has been lifted, I try to go twice a week. The pool is not large, so it can feel crowded when there is a class or swim team practice. Sometimes the lanes are full and I have to wait a little while, but that's no big deal. I'm not able to go on the same day every week. In a way I wish they would bring back the reservation system. Their lifeguards always say hello and goodbye, as do the personal trainers. Last year I had a trainer who was awesome. The people I saw who also had trainers looked happy. Lately on the gym floor I have noticed more machines with "repair" signs on them. (This is happening at every gym, parts are hard to find!) The members I have met are friendly (mainly swimmers). It's a place that I feel comfortable going to.
Over the past years of coming to the jcc (Jewish community center) it has rapidly gone downhill. First of all the workers are not always as pleasant as they Appel one worker kicked one of my close associates out of the gym for wearing crocs!!!! Also the outrages prices for a membership and a day pass has skyrocketed. For a 1 day pass it is an astonishing 20 dollars! This building has gone too far in the rabbit hole to come out of….
20 dollars for a day pass?!? I remember when they were 10 and reasonable! Can’t even enjoy the gym with friends who don’t have a membership!
