What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a stark contrast in customer experiences with pool services. The majority of feedback is overwhelmingly negative, consistently highlighting issues such as unprofessionalism, unreliability (including multiple no-shows, chronic lateness, and service providers disappearing after payment), and poor quality workmanship (ranging from botched pool installations with long delays and unfinished work, to inadequate maintenance leaving pools unusable, and careless repairs). Several customers reported deceptive pricing practices, including price upcharges from initial quotes, inconsistent pricing information, and being billed for services that were never rendered. Additionally, there were instances of rude customer service, threats, and a general lack of accountability. In stark contrast, one review offered glowing praise for a different company, commending their exceptional service, competitive pricing for installations like pool heaters, excellent regular maintenance, and consistent responsiveness.

Is this is owned by Chris.. he did a horrible job installing our pool. Started constructio in October..pool not finished until March. Waiting over s month for the concrete crew to return from Holiday, but then did it himself , although not qualified .. the tile job was horrible and not even requested on the jacuzzi. I would add photos.. but I don't see that option. He disappeared after receiving the final payment after promising to finish up. Other multiple issues during installation. My contract mysteriously disappeared after he asked if I still had my copy bc he"lost" his. Now I have no recourse. I have recently found the paperwork from the purchase of the actual fiberglass pool
Docs pool care was looking after my elderly father‘s pool. It has been unusable for a full summer. They blame my elderly father when they are the ones being paid to maintain the pool I arrived the other day to my father‘s house, when the cool pool was being clean, they left and it was filthy. I fired Doc’s Pool on that day. I hired another pool company out of Summerville and they had it looking perfect within two days. Stay away!
Absolutely loved the amazing service provided—truly exceptional! I was referred by a friend and I am glad he did! I use them for service every other week and they do an excellent job. I also used them to install a pool heater. I received other quotes and they were substantially lower! They are always available by phone and responsive whenever I call!
Similar to all the other reviews posted about this company, "worst pool company ever". Do not hire them. They are extremely unprofessional. They quote you one rate, and then charge you way more. The tech had 2 no call no shows to our Saturday morning appointment. His wife answered the phone and stated "he overslept" after we had already changed our schedule for him. Jeff is a terrible technician - he ruined our concrete, didn't even fix the leak, was careless, never once showed up on time and was all around unprofessional. When we called to question the upcharged price and complained about our service, instead of being cared for, we were yelled at and told to never call them again. But then she called my father who helped set up the appointment for me and threatened to take him to court. I have never dealt with such poor quality people in my life. I am not sure how they are still in business but please take my word and find another company!
Wish I could give zero stars. Called to request an appointment to winterize my pool. Was told that it would be $200, plus a $40/bottle charge for “the good algecide”, for a total of $280. I said that seemed steep and that I was going to call around and price check. I received a call later and the person I spoke with said she was mistaken and that “the good algecide” was now included and that the total price would in fact just be $200. That should’ve been my warning sign about how these people do business, but I foolishly made the appointment anyway. The day of the appointment my husband left work early to be at the house, and sat around and waited but the tech was a no show. A few hours later I check my email and they have sent me an invoice requesting payment for the work that was never done! When I called to tell them I would not pay the bill because no one showed up, I got hung up on. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable pool company..
