What a great experience! I took my granddaughter and we had a blast. The park is clean and well maintained. The lifeguards are plenty and very on top of their jobs. Someone fools around, they get the whistle. I was very impressed. The food was decent and not skimpy. But best of all, my granddaughter loved it and we’re going back next week.
An awesome place to have fun with friends and family! It’s $25, just outside of the county park so you don’t have to enter the park gates to get in. Four large water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and other fun things. Gift shop at the front. Plenty of areas with seating, mostly covered. Separate area for younger kids. The lifeguards were doing a great job scanning and overseeing the pools and slides. There’s a pizza truck (average tasting, thick crust, similar to PapaJohns) with slices for $5 or combo for $10 (slice, chips, & drink). Also a Dippin’ Dots truck, although they only had 2 of 8 flavors in stock this day. Bathrooms were clean. You’re able to leave and come back inside (same day).
The best park in Charleston. It was extremely busy today but it’s a Saturday in the summer - it’s to be expected. If you want short lines, easy parking, or to find a seat to sit either come on a weekday or in the early morning. The parks popularity continues to grow each year so it’s no surprise it’s packed on the weekends! They have great options for food inside the park but they also allow you to leave the park and re-enter so you can eat your lunch inside the county park at the picnic tables. Staff was very helpful and extremely busy rushing to help anyone in the park who needed it. Lifeguards were extremely attentive and we felt very safe in the water! Will be returning again!
What great place for children? Very safe environment, lifeguards, everywhere some of the sliding boards were moving at a snail's pace they had lifeguards at the top and the bottom. When you have 5 or 6 sliding boards and only 1 or 2 people come down them. I think that's a bit off, but that's for safety reasons. I'm sure, but most parents are watching everything that goes on and they were all observing the entire time. I'm sure that you'll get exceptions to that. Other than that, I love the place. It worked out to be almost $20 per person and just so happens that there was lightning that day. And we only got an hour for forty dollars
I brought my 2 daughters 5 & 7 for a day at the water park and was not disappointed. We came around 945am and there were already several cars parked and people waiting to get in and grab a chair. I definitely recommend coming early and grabbing your spot! We did every slide before 11am and the lines were minimal. By 1130am the lines for the bigger slides were pretty long, so be prepared to be patient. Also, if you are not used to walking steps / carrying things a long distance come prepared for hefting the large inner tunes up several flights of stairs to use the big slides. I had to do this solo since my girls are so small and I'm fortunate I am physically able, but this could be a challenge for some not used to that level of physical activity. The price of admission for smaller kids is based on height so our group paid roughly $70 to get in for the day and we spent about $50 on food and treats throughout the day. You can bring your own food, but it has to be left in the car and you can get your hand stamped for readmission after having your lunch/snack in the parking lot if you want to save on the food cost. There is also a store with hats, goggles, sunscreen, novelties, etc. If you forget something! There is also an inclement weather policy and they will give you admission on another day if they close due to weather once you pay, they explain this as you enter. Overall great experience, we will be back and the birthday party packages seem great!
