So this is my first time visiting this pool here. And it’s OK, but there are some things that they need to do like spray for ants and things like that to keep them from biting the patron that come here. Whitney at the front was very nice and friendly. Not sure if l wld come back.
Very clean facility. Staff and lifeguards are really nice and helpful. My kids are learning how to swim for the first time and the swim teachers are very patient. Reasonable prices for lessons and family swim. I would recommend Herbert Hasel Pool to everyone for swimming lessons as well as recreational swim time.
Well just walked here from downtown in mid-summer! Website says opens at 11am but it’s way past 11 and still closed up. No info signs at front. Phone just rings to v/mail. And the only other downtown pool (MLK jr) is also closed for renovations. Only other option is $15 for a swim at MUSC. Not a great tourist experience!
We were there for a swim meet. Facilities are fine but a little dated. Appreciated the shade awning at one end of the pool for sure.
Love how the lifeguards interact with the community, especially the kids who will remember these interactions for years. Will visit again when in town. #Hometown
