What are people saying (AI review summary)? Elkland Pool is consistently praised as a friendly, clean, and well-maintained private members-only pool offering a variety of amenities and activities. Reviewers highlight the friendly staff and lifeguards, the cleanliness of the facilities including bathrooms and shower rooms, and the reasonable prices at the concession stand. Key features include a shaded and fenced kiddie pool, a diving board, a playground, shelters for parties, and ample chairs and umbrellas. The pool also offers extended hours (until 8 pm) and summer events, including a swim team. There was a misconception regarding 'stock' ownership, which the pool clarifies: it is a non-stock, not-for-profit corporation. These certificates can be sold/transferred to other active members for a $25 fee, and an inactive fee allows members to retain their certificate without active membership for one season every five years. A one-year trial membership is available for those who wish to experience the pool before purchasing a certificate.

Joined Elkland in 2024 & was one of the best decisions I ever made. Staff were all friendly & the pool stays open until 8 pm, which worked out perfectly with my work schedule. Numerous events are offered throughout the summer & they offer a swim team kids can join. I highly recommend this pool to anyone considering joining a members only pool.

This is a nice little private pool and everyone was friendly today when we attended a birthday party. There was a nice little shelter in the back for parties and gatherings. There is a diving board and kiddie pool that is closed in with a shade awning (which was so nice for little ones). There is a nice, new, play ground equipment and swings outside the fence but on the grounds. The bathrooms were nice and I got some pictures because there was no one in there with us. The concession stand was really reasonably priced and 3 of us had lunch for under 20 bucks. The dining area by the concession area was nice, clean, and shaded. Overall we really liked the place!

It's a nice small pool. The kiddie pool is partly shaded under an awning and is fenced in so you don't have to worry about your little ones wandering around. It has a little picnic shelter in the back where you can have gatherings or birthday parties. Has a fairly large covered area for concessions. The staff have been great the few times we have been up here.

A great place for summer fun. A previous post stated, this place is a "sham". I am sorry you feel this way. A common misconception about our pool is with the construction certificate. Somehow through the years it had gotten referred to as stock. Sorry for the confusion. I hope this will help clear things up. Frequently Asked Questions: Q:  Does Elkland Pool sell stock? A:  No, Elkland Pool is a non-stock, not-for-profit corporation. Q:  Why do I keep hearing about stock then? A:  The term stock has been used incorrectly to refer to construction fund certificates. Q:  What is a construction fund certificate? A:  A construction fund certificate is outlined in the bylaws and aids in the maintenance of our sixty year old pool and structures, equipment and grounds. Q:  Am I required to have a construction fund certificate? A:  Yes, ownership of a construction fund certificate is required of every member (other than trial members). Q:  Why do I have to have a construction fund certificate? A:  This is a requirement established in our bylaws. Q:  How can I purchase a construction fund certificate? A:  Submit an application and purchase the $200 construction fund certificate directly from Elkland Pool. Q:  Is there any other way to purchase a construction fund certificate? A:  Yes.  You can purchase from a current member if their membership was active at the end of the prior season.  A $25 transfer fee must be paid to Elkland in this situation. Q:  Can I get a refund from Elkland Pool for the price of my construction fund certificate when I decide I want to end my membership? A:  No. Q:  Can I sell my construction fund certificate when I decide I want to cancel my membership? A:  Yes, if your membership was active at the end of the prior season.  A $25 transfer fee must be paid to Elkland in this situation, either by you or the new member. Q:  What if I have a construction fund certificate, but don’t wish to have an active pool membership this season? A:  You may pay an inactive fee of $50 no later than opening day of the current pool season in order to avoid forfeiting your construction fund certificate.  Your regular membership dues will be required the following pool season.  You may elect to become an inactive member only once in a five year period. Q:  What options do I have if I don’t want to buy a construction fund certificate before I try out Elkland Pool? A:  One option is to visit the pool as a guest of a current member.  Another option is to pay for a one-year trial membership.  This is the same price as a regular membership, but does not require purchase of a construction fund certificate.  This is limited to one ye
