What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this facility are mixed, highlighting both positive aspects and significant areas for improvement. Many members enjoy the facility, particularly the outdoor water park for children, though some find the 'adult swim' periods inconvenient for toddlers. There's anticipation for upcoming remodeling, especially the addition of an upstairs restroom. Positives also include general cleanliness and some attentive staff members. However, frequent criticisms revolve around outdated and limited exercise equipment, and a call for better maintenance in the pool area (ventilation, chlorine odor) and overall cleanliness. Staff interactions are a major point of contention, with some employees being praised for attentiveness, while others are described as disengaged, unfriendly, or ignoring greetings. A specific complaint was lodged against an unadvertised rule preventing multi-YMCA members from using the outdoor water park on weekends, despite its basic features, which led to frustration for visitors.

Is clean facilities. Pleasant staff. When I finally resigned my membership, only one piece of exercise equipment was generally available per.Type of exercise. Is very difficult to work in.

We have really enjoyed this place the past few months. I am looking forward to seeing all the remodeling done and having access to a restroom upstairs while exercising! The outdoor water park is great for the kids! Just be aware they occasionally do "adult swim" while youre there and it lasts for 15 minutes. My toddlers were not happy but we will be better prepared next time!

I would like to share some feedback with the hope that it will contribute to improving the facility and overall member experience. While the gym provides a decent environment for working out, there are several areas that could benefit from upgrades. The equipment is somewhat outdated and would ideally be replaced with newer machines. The pool area could also be improved — particularly with better ventilation and reduced chlorine odor. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the facility could be enhanced to ensure a more hygienic environment. Staff interactions vary significantly. A few team members are genuinely attentive and seem to care about the well-being of members, which is greatly appreciated. However, others appear disengaged, often seen chatting among themselves rather than being attentive to the facility or its clients. In particular, there is one staff member — an older woman with long gray hair — who consistently fails to greet members and has been observed addressing clients in an abrupt and unfriendly manner, especially at closing time. This kind of behavior can leave a negative impression and diminish the sense of community that many members seek in a gym. I strongly recommend that management consider holding a team meeting focused on professionalism, accountability, and member engagement. Encouraging all staff to contribute to a more welcoming and respectful environment would go a long way toward enhancing the overall experience for everyone.

Drove all the way from Fort Mill to spend the day at the waterpark with my sister and family. I have a membership that I can use at any YMCA. When I arrived here, I was told that non members of this branch can’t use the outdoor waterpark on weekends. This is the dumbest rule ever and should be noted on the site. I even offered to pay and they said no. I use my membership in Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and all Charlotte locations with no problems. This needs to be advised on the website. In addition the waterpark is too basic for them to be so strict. It only goes to 3 feet and doesn’t have the bells and whistles as other locations.

I usually have a great experience here. Today, that was not the case. I went to the check in counter to scan my phone to enter in, I greeted the attendant at the desk “Christinza” with “Hi”. I thought she might have not heard me, but she looked at me and looked at the screen without greeting me. She proceeded to greet the person who was entering in behind me and completing ignored me.
