Recreational park featuring miniature golf, tennis and pickleball courts, and a splash park.
As Adventure Falls is a sprayground, not a traditional swimming pool, specific temperature information for the water is typically not provided. The water temperature is generally ambient, fluctuating with the outdoor air and ground temperatures.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews highlight a mixed experience, primarily focusing on the mini-golf course and water area. The mini-golf is widely praised for its affordability, often available for $2.50-$5 per person, making it a budget-friendly option. While some found it fun with its 18 holes and phone-based scoring, there is significant disappointment regarding recent changes. Many reviewers note that traditional obstacles and "mischief spinners" have been removed, resulting in a less challenging and more boring course that feels like 18 simple putting greens, especially for older children. Some parts of the course are described as "busted," and there's a strong hope for upgrades. Conversely, the water area (Falls) is popular with children aged 8-12, and its three age-grouped sections are appreciated, though there is a charge even for those not actively playing in the water. Other amenities, such as the courts, are noted as nice and busy, and the overall service for events like birthday parties received positive feedback.
Reviews
This review is only toward the mini golf course: Sadly what used to be a really enjoyable mini golf course and affordable...all of the obstacles are now gone. Hopefully the park district upgrades the course this season as it was a complete disappointment last year when they did this and eliminated all the old obstacles.
bought a groupon for $5 for 1 round for 2 people ($2.50 each) & we were NOT disappointed ! super cheap compared to the competition, fun holes, even had wheels with challenges, & you keep track of score on a phone ! very entertaining, some of the courses are kind of busted, but you cannot be the price !
Fun place to mini golf! I usually don't do mini golf but for a small price of $5 it was worth it! It has 18 holes you can play and a fun course!
Great service and great place to hold my Grandsons 4th birthday.
We went there with the grandkids ages 8-12. They liked the water area. The 3 sections for different age groups was a good idea. There is a charge to go into the falls area even if you're not playing in the water. Fortunately, our kids were old enough for us to watch them from outside the fence. We didn't use the courts, but they looked nice and were fairly busy. The reason for 3 stars is because of the mini golf. There really isn't any challenge. The "mischief spinners," which the kids always enjoyed, are gone. There are different shaped pieces of wood tossed on the greens, I'm assuming to make your own challenge or obstacles. This course is more like 18 holes of putting greens with very little to no challenge. All the fun stuff is gone, although the waterfall is once again running. That was the only highlight. The kids found the golf course boring. They preferred the one at the Morton Arboretum.
