We recently discovered Atcher Island after living in Schaumburg for a year, and we’re so glad we did! The membership is super affordable, and it gives us unlimited access—which is amazing. My kids absolutely love it here. It’s the perfect summer spot for working parents who might not have the time for a long vacation but still want to give their kids that fun, vacation-like experience. While we can take trips, it’s just not always possible to get away for very long. Atcher Island has been such a great way to make the most of summer close to home.

I went with my family and had fun at the pools and slides but the employees were extremely rude when i had to leave a little late, so make sure to “be considerate of the time” when you are in the locker room. And the shower and changing room had CURTAINS not even doors the curtains were so small and mist were broken as well. Atcher island, do better. Like hireing teens is a good thing to do😔

Went today, the cold water was perfect for the extreme heat. Did leave and get grossed out when a boy pulled his shorts to his knees and peed directly onto the floor where the kid slides are. He was too old to be exposing himself like that, I would have expected that from someone under 5. Told the lifeguard but they just assume every kid is peeing so they didn’t do anything about it. A BABY and her dad ended up sitting right on the same area to play. We were a large group and we just lost interest after that.

The staff are fantastic ! My 7yo went down the yellow bowl slide and panicked when she came out. The lifeguard Raul very quickly jumped in and helped her out! She is an excellent swimmer, but this slide just scared her.The supervisor, Bela, came over to notify me and take some information from me. He was very professional and polite.
