What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the facility are mixed. Positive feedback highlights that it's a fun place for kids, featuring a cool slide and a safe, gated toddler area. It's also noted for being clean and not overly crowded for recreational swimming. However, there are significant criticisms, including concerns about management, described by one reviewer as 'worthless' with an overly harsh atmosphere. Specific complaints include high school-aged staff yelling at children, perceived unfitness of lifeguards raising safety concerns, and the pools not being heated despite recent remodeling. Operational issues such as inconvenient pool hours and a lack of shaded seating during events are also mentioned. For swim meets, the pool's shallow middle section was a concern for competitors, though the pool is otherwise considered pretty and fun for recreational use. One review about a basketball game was not relevant to the pool summary.

My kids had a blast here swimming. The slide is so cool, and I like that the toddler area has a gate to get in and out of so the Littles don't just take off. Very clean and also not too crazy over crowded.
Palatine pools have become concentration camps. Did some kid drown? You have the high school aged kids constantly yelling at children, it’s obnoxious and an awful experience. Also, these life guards need to workout. The manager looked 275 easy. How can she save someone, honestly? Pools aren’t even heated. Spent millions and remodeled the pool several times and you cant put a heater it? Hours of pool are awful too. Whoever is managing the community centers for palatine is worthless.
Daughter had a swim meet here. Absolutely no place to sit in the shade. Make sure you bring your own chairs!
Went there for an outdoor swim meet. It rained a little, but not too bad. Apparently, on a daily basis this acts as a recreational pool, and swimmers were complaining about the middle being bit too shallow for a timed competition, saying they were afraid they would scrape their hands on the bottom. It's a pretty pool, looks like fun otherwise.
Great Basketball game! Kids had a good time playing a Tie Game
