Aquatic center with a water park-style slide, an enclosed pool for babies and dive boards.
The pools at the Centennial Aquatic Center are generally heated to ensure a comfortable swimming experience for visitors. While specific temperatures may vary, recreational and zero-depth entry pools are typically maintained at a pleasant temperature, often around 80-82°F (26-28°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Centennial Aquatic Center is highly praised as a family-friendly and safe destination, featuring clean, well-maintained pools suitable for various age groups, including a large slide. The staff consistently receives high marks for being attentive, kind, friendly, and respectful, making it ideal for general visits and children's special events. A snack shop offers food and ice cream, though specific item quality varies. While many recommend the center, key points to note are higher admission fees for non-residents, and one reported issue regarding a mandatory entrance fee for a non-swimming parent supervising a baby. The facility is typically well-staffed with lifeguards, and while it can be crowded, lines for slides are generally short.

Centennial Aquatic Center has become one of our favorite places to spend time together. I often come here with my daughter, and she absolutely loves it. The pools are clean and well-maintained, and the facility feels safe and family-friendly. The staff are attentive and kind, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Whether it’s swimming, playing, or just relaxing, we always leave with smiles. A great spot for both kids and parents to enjoy!
First time here today and can say I liked the pool. Actually, there are 3 pools. Doesn’t matter how old your child is, you can definitely find the one which is the best for his/her age. There is one big slide, but the child has to reach certain high in order to use the slide. If you are hungry, there is small shop where you can buy some food or ice cream. Not sure what the choices are, but saw a line in front of it. Also, if you are not Park Ridge resident, the price of ticket is higher. All in all would recommend this pool.
This place was amazing the staff are AAA+++. I highly recommend this place for children's special events. The staff were super friendly, kind and extremely respectful. I am thankful for everything they did
Our family of 4 went to the outdoor pool because our 6 year old daughter wanted to swim and I had to pay the entrance fee to go into the pool to take care of my daughter. My wife came with our 1 year old baby. I told her that my wife wanted to go in but not into the pool because she had to take care of our 1 year old baby by the pool. But the cashier said that you have to pay your wife, which is the entrance fee. And I had to pay, confused because my daughter really wanted to swim. In the end, we had to pay for everyone but only 2 of us went to swim. I don't know how to get this money back or if it's really a rule because I asked the people sitting around the pool and no one paid this money.
I went on Sep 2 (Labor Day) and it was great. It was well-staffed with lots of lifeguards, and the snack shop was well-priced (churros and pizza are great, but don’t get the funnel cake fries. It’s not real funnel cake). Pretty crowded but not terrible. 1-2 people in line for the water slides so just waited about 30-60 secs. It was 70 and windy so it a little cold if you’re sensitive to cold. But bearable. And also points off for the fact that residents have a cheaper rate. But all in all it was great. I recommend going.
