What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the park/pool facility are largely negative, highlighting new, strict residency requirements (Cicero residents only, excluding Berwyn), and the need for ID even for young children, which has led to many being refused entry. A dominant complaint is the lack of attentiveness from lifeguards, who are often observed on their phones, despite few children in the pool. Bathrooms are frequently described as 'atrocious' and 'disgusting,' with a lack of changing tables being a significant issue for parents with toddlers. Furthermore, a new rule prohibiting parents from entering the middle of the pool raises safety concerns given the inattentive staff. While some positive aspects like the padded floor, shallow water, and water features suitable for toddlers are mentioned, these are overshadowed by the frustrating requirements, poor service, and hygiene issues.

Came here 2 weeks ago NO ISSUES. Now you need identification for 7 & 8 year olds and an ID. Cicero residents only. Lifeguards (almost 5 of them) aren’t doing anything but sitting on their phones. 3 kids in the pool AT MOST and because I didn’t have an ID they didn’t let my toddler (2) swim. Bathrooms? Atrocious and no changing table. Absolutely disgusting. Shouldn’t be this strict for a FREE park. Insane.
I just became a Cicero resident, I’m currently 9 months pregnant and decided to take my toddler to go swimming! They were asking for so many things. On top of that all of the young workers on their phones not even paying attention to the 2-3 kids in the pool. It’s very frustrating that I wasn’t able to enjoy the weather with my family due to all of the unnecessary requirements! DO BETTER
Absolutely horrible experience. I tried to take my son & daughter to the kiddie pool, but now they’re saying only Cicero Residents. We were refused entry. In the sweltering heat had us read a bunch of rules on a whiteboard. My son attended the children’s center and last summer we would always go. We have always been residents & never had any issues. Now they have declared that they won’t allow Berwyn residents. So many children attend the Children’s Center & it is BERWYN & Cicero. They have 6-7 teenage lifeguards doing absolutely nothing just on their phones, not attentive or anything. This is especially concerning considering the fact that they have now made the ridiculous rule that parents are not allowed in the middle of the pool. How are parents to trust that their children are safely monitored if the lifeguards are on their phones and completely inattentive. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting, and after we stood in the heat for about 30 minutes I realized my daughters diaper was full. I went to change her but they have no changing tables. (My daughter is 1 so I didn’t bring her when I would bring my son last summer) overall horrible customer service & inexperienced lifeguards.
Awesome for toddlers since the water isn't too deep. Padded floor is also very nice. Little playground right outside is okay (nothing special). Sandpit looks really dirty.
Good kiddie pool that gradually gets deeper toward the middle and has two water features closer to the edge. Playground right nearby. Signs posted indicate adults cannot get in water and can only sit at water ledge if child is under 2 yo. Wasn't too crowded on a Monday late afternoon
