What are people saying (AI review summary)? The swimming school receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, particularly for its Lincoln Park location. Parents consistently praise the incredibly patient, kind, friendly, and supportive staff who create a welcoming atmosphere, helping children, even those initially shy or hesitant, feel safe and enjoy their lessons. Many note significant progress in their children's swimming skills and a newfound love for the water. The staff are commended for connecting with each child and making lessons a positive experience, akin to a 'celebration.' One reviewer specifically highlights a manager, Ellie, for her dedication and knowledge of the children. The facility is described as clean, and the observed longevity of staff members suggests a positive work environment. A minor drawback mentioned by one long-term parent is the short duration (30 minutes) and limited lane length, which might not be sufficient for older children seeking a more strenuous workout or endurance training, although the core goal of teaching swimming is acknowledged.

My son attends swimming lessons at this school, and we are very happy with his progress. At first, I was quite worried because when he started, he didn’t speak any English at all. But the coaches have been incredibly patient and kind. My son goes to every lesson with great joy, as the boys and girls there create an amazing atmosphere. In addition to gaining great swimming skills, we’ve made new friends, and the coaches truly connect with each child. It’s so important that our children feel special and receive a big boost of positivity! We’re happy to have joined the Goldfish family—swimming lessons feel like a little celebration for us!
Amazing, friendly, supportive staff. Helped my kids feel safe and welcomed! My son was shy and scared his first few visits but the team helped him along every baby step of the way!
My daughter has been attending goldfish Lincoln park for about 4 months. She has grown to love the water and swimming. She is excited every week for her teacher and to perfect her rollover! Great staff location and clean!
Instructors are incredibly patient and go out of their way to make a child feel safe. My daughter is very hesitant to going to the pool almost every other time we’re at swimming class and each time one of the lifeguards comes to sit next to her at the edge of the pool until she feels comfortable enough to go in. I highly recommend goldfish and specifically this Lincoln Park location!
My three kids all learned/or learning swimming there, so I have been with them for a while. People are just very nice there. I have noticed many workers who have been there for a long time, which shows that it must be a good place to work at. Ellie is this young manager walking around the pool during lessons. She is just amazing. She knows every kid (even after our long breaks here and there) and is very keen on helping the kids to move up. The environment is so comfortable and nice, which can "spoil" the kids and parents so that they are not used to a less well managed public pool. The two drawbacks are: (1)a 30 minute lesson is very short (including transition time). I feel that older kids need 1 hour to really warm up and learn; (2) relatedly, for older kids (like 7 or above), the short lane is just not much of a workout. Older kids can do loops in a wider area, but that is still not much of a workout for them. I know there is swim team (swim force), but that is only available to the most experienced swimmers. I understand that the goal is to teach swimming, not to train endurance or speed. It will be nice if there is an opportunity for endurance and speed as well. Overall, I am very thankful to the caring and sweet people there.
