We had a very upsetting experience at this facility. I was there with a friend — we both have one-year-old children. We were sitting calmly near the pool feeding our babies: my friend was feeding her child with a spoon, and my daughter was eating a small bagel while sitting on a chair next to me. A staff member in a blue shirt approached us and said that eating was not allowed there and that we needed to move to the designated eating area. We respectfully complied, even though our babies were very young and quietly sitting with us. Just a few minutes later, we saw other families with older children (around 5 years old) eating snacks, vegetables, and food from containers right by the pool — and no one said a word to them. Later, when we were about to leave, my daughter was sitting in her own stroller, eating a small snack, and once again we were told that eating was not allowed — even though other people around us were still eating without being approached. This is not the first time we’ve been treated this way. We were speaking Russian between ourselves, and it really felt like we were being singled out, possibly because we don’t speak English fluently. It felt very much like discrimination. We expect equal and respectful treatment, especially when we are quietly taking care of our small children without disturbing anyone. After this visit, we felt unfairly targeted and very disappointed. This area is meant for toddlers and small children, but very often there are older kids (4 years and up, sometimes around 7 years old) swimming and playing there. No one seems to monitor or control this, even though it feels unsafe — especially when you have a one-year-old baby in the water and bigger kids are jumping, splashing, and running around. I believe the staff should pay more attention to this, because it can be truly dangerous for little ones.

6/23/23 My first time visiting this pool. Very nice Splash pad and pools. Concession w/snacks sold but it opens & closes at various times. Due to air pollution the following week 6/27/23 they were closed

This is a nice facility. I brought my two little ones as summer was winding down. We had been to several lake county pools this summer. We went during their abbreviated end of summer hours, the spray park and zero depth pool is only open for an hour and half. That's plenty of time for a 3 year old and 18 month old. However, we were charged regular summer hour prices. Kids 2 and under are free. But my daughter and I were both charged the same amount, there is no kids price. We got there at 9:45. $16 for the two of us for one hour of swimming is insane. If you abbreviate the hours you should abbreviate the price. It's not like Deerfield is hurting for a couple bucks. I can bring both kids to the mundelein splash paid and pay $6 for the whole day. We will not be returning.

Great pool! It has something for everyone: great kiddie pool, big open pool, 2 diving boards and a water slide. It usually isn't too crowded, and the facilities are adequate. The staff is very friendly.

I love coming here. The lifeguards and other staff are very friendly, and the pool is a great size. The locker rooms are very clean. Excellent place for a swim!
