Family-friendly sports center with indoor pools, a slide, a spa and warm water therapy sessions.
The aquatic center typically maintains different temperatures for its pools. The leisure pool, which features zero-depth entry and interactive elements, is generally kept warmer, often between 88-90 degrees Fahrenheit. The lap pool, designated for fitness swimming and lap lanes, is usually maintained at a slightly cooler temperature, typically ranging from 82-84 degrees Fahrenheit.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Splash Landings is highly praised as a wonderful and affordable facility, particularly for families with children of various ages. Reviewers consistently highlight the exceptionally kind and pleasant staff, along with the cleanliness of the pool and locker rooms. The water temperature, a past concern, is now reported as comfortable or even slightly warm. The facility features a decent-sized kiddie area with zero-depth entry, toddler slides, and sprinklers, alongside a main pool and a larger water slide (with a 42-inch height requirement, favorable for many children, and an exciting dark section). Admission is reasonable, and it's noted for being uncrowded even on hot days, offering plenty of space for swimming. Beyond the pools, it also provides amenities like a walking track. However, a significant recurring complaint is that the hot tub is frequently closed, attributed to poor management and chemical maintenance, which disappoints patrons who rely on it, especially during winter.
Reviews
We found Splash Landings through friends (we don't live in Glenview) and are so glad we did. This is the perfect place to bring our kids (7 and 9) on rainy days. The staff is always exceptionally kind and pleasant, the pool and locker rooms are clean and most importantly the height requirement for the water slide is 42 inches - perfect for our 46.5 inch tall son who gets upset at the 48 inch requirements elsewhere. Will keep coming here as long as our kids want to. Wonderful facility.
I hesitated to visit this pool with my kid given some of the previous reviews that described cold water. I was pleasantly surprised! The temperature issue must have been fixed in recent years b/c both pools were very comfortable and on the slightly warm side even. The kiddie pool is not big but has fun features. Facilities feel new and clean and well-lighted.
I'm part of NSUHS that uses the Fitness Center for Cardiac Phase 3. I see Splash landings and the people doing exercises and it looks like they enjoy it. I took my Grandkids to the open swim when they were young and we all enjoyed ourselves. I've also used the walking track and it is a great place to walk and enjoy the view.
Affordable, clean, but most importantly lots of fun. Decent sized kiddie area, with a zero depth entry area so it's very easy for little kids to get into the water. A toddler sized water slide and sprinklers provide lots of fun for the young ones, while older kids and adults can enjoy the main pool and larger water slide. I thought the larger slide was great, as about a quarter of the way down you're in pitch black darkness until you near the slide's exit. We went on a very hot Saturday, and shockingly there was no crowd, which meant plenty of room for us and the kids to swim and splash around. Admission was very reasonable, at $6 per person, while kids younger than 2 years old are free. We had a blast, and are already looking forward to going back.
Hot tub is never open. It's not rocket science with the chemicals. The leadership and management especially the People Who oversee Splash Landings run it very poorly they should be on this every morning especially during the winter hours people count on that hot tub
