What are people saying (AI review summary)? Willow Stream Park offers a variety of amenities including sports facilities, walking paths, picnic areas, and a swimming pool, generally noted for its cleanliness and maintenance. The pool itself is described as nice, featuring a slide and splash pool for kids, along with clean restrooms and changing rooms, and friendly staff. Lap lines are available after summer camps leave in the early afternoon, though the pool can be crowded during camp hours (1-2 PM). Key concerns raised include a significant and unaddressed bee and wasp problem around the pool, as well as multiple reports of children developing skin rashes after swimming, suggesting potential issues with the water's chemical levels.

Nice pool in big Willow Stream Park. Very clean restrooms and changing rooms. When we arrived at 1pm was little crowded because of kids from some summer school or camp. Later become nice and quiet when they leave at 2pm. There are no separate lap lines but on deep side we were able to relatively freely swim back and forth across pool. Deep side is 11.2 feet deep and only swimmers stay here. There is slide and splash pool for kids as well. Personel is nice and friendly here. EDIT : During last visit there was one lap line. They are opening lap line after camps leave pool.
Nice pool but has a huge bee and wasp problem. We told one of the crew and they pretty much admitted they are aware of the issue but management wouldn't do anything about it. Be very careful if you take your kids there.
very nice, had lots of fun. the slide is cool.
I take my child both to the Willow stream pool and to the one in Wheeling. Every time I take him to the Willow stream pool, his skin breaks out in rashes. Never at the Wheeling pool. My friend's daughter has a similar reaction. I'm not sure if my next step would be calling the Illinois department of public Health or what. But something is wrong with the level of chemicals in the water. Please check it regularly!
This large park has a few areas to enjoy baseball, soccer, swimming, Frisbee golf, basketball, walking, cycling, picnics and even community events. It's always clean and pretty well maintained. It's also an easy walk to both shopping and the Willow Creek preserve. You'll also find restrooms and a bus shelter.
