I brought all 3 of my children here and was crossing my fingers lol but when we started we did not have an instructor picked out nor a schedule but doing the switching up of schedules my daughter was placed with a male. At first I was like o lord. She gonna have him wrapped around his finger and she not gonna learn bc he’s going to allow her to do whatever she wants lol BOOY WAS I WRONG!lol He not only treated her with all the kindness in the work but he worked so well getting her comfortable with the water, and she even jumps into the water and goes under the water! I then put him with my son, and as soon as I did I saw a huge change in him!! He can’t stop trying to swim no matter what and he goes under the water all the time and enjoys it. Even though we did not finish the program to where they are completely ready we reached the goal of them not being afraid of the water anymore and finally trying to have fun in a body of water and he let them ring the bell anyway! The male’s name is Liam and I fully recommend him!
We love this swim school. It was hard to find a swim school that was similar to the Dallas swim schools. This facility is very nice and we really like our teacher , she is great with our 2 year old. I'd highly recommend anyone with a young child that needs swimming lessons to come to goldfish swim school.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (For the right fit) We originally tried the Mini 2 level, but it just wasn’t the right fit for my son. At this stage, they focus on basic swim skills—kicking, arm movements, floating, and getting comfortable in the water with instructor guidance. While that’s great for beginners, my son is already swimming independently with a life jacket and just wanted to jump in and do his own thing. He wasn’t interested in the structured drills, and honestly, it felt like torture for him to slow down and practice things he felt he had already mastered. Leaving was rough (cue the meltdown), and getting him changed afterward was a whole adventure in itself. At this in-between stage—where he’s too advanced for Mini 2 but not quite ready to swim independently—it just wasn’t worth the effort for 30 minutes of class time. That said, the facility is fantastic—super clean, lots of changing rooms, spacious bathrooms, and even a hair blower station with detangler (a lifesaver for parents!). The staff was very helpful, showing me around on our first visit and making sure we felt comfortable. Although we canceled, the owner personally reached out and was incredibly kind, helping us find a better solution. She even created a special class for my son to try out the next level (Mini 3), where the focus is more on swimming independently. I’ll update once we see how that goes, but I truly appreciate the effort to make things work for us. For younger kids or those just starting out, Mini 2 would likely be a great fit. For my son, at this stage, it was a pass—but I love how they worked with us to find a better option! Looking forward to seeing how Mini 3 goes! Almost forgot to mention, he got the cutest fish for his first visit but now that I think of it, he may have left it. We also received a nice tote.
We recently enrolled our toddler at Goldfish Swim School, and while there were some positives, I also ran into a lot of confusion during our short time here. The facility itself is very nice, spacious, clean, and well-maintained. However, it’s also very loud during busy times (we attended Saturdays), which makes it difficult to hear announcements or instructions. On our first visit, there wasn’t anyone to greet us or explain the process, so I had to ask at the desk what my toddler should be doing. At one point, our assigned lane number didn’t match the pool layout, which was confusing as well. I also had to ask about my membership welcome bag since it wasn’t offered up front, and later discovered that the makeup token I earned couldn’t be used once we paused our enrollment. That said, I want to give credit where it’s due. After posting this review, the general manager, Mindy, personally reached out to me. We had a very pleasant conversation where she listened to my concerns, explained things I hadn’t been aware of, and even fixed the makeup token situation. She went above and beyond to help schedule our family for another swim time, and I really appreciated her responsiveness and care. While we may still decide to pause lessons since our son is only 19 months and not quite ready to enjoy them fully, I feel much better knowing the management values feedback and is committed to improving the experience for families.
I started bringing my daughter here when they opened back in February and we have loved our experience so far. Our daughter is 7 months and in the mini one class with Kylie. This is the first recreational class she has ever participated in. Over the past 6 weeks her comfort level in the water has grown substantially! And her instructor Kylie is amazing! She is so helpful in explaining each lesson to us while also explaining how these skills will be used as the babies continue to learn. The facility is always very clean and the staff is welcoming. The front desk staff has remembered my daughter and greeted her by name since week one.Very happy with this swim school!
