5 Stars for the facility itself. I don't really have any major complaints, and the rates are not bad at all. The reason I'm not personally continuing my membership is that lap lane availability is very inconsistent in the summer. This isn't really the fault of the people running the place, but more of a heads up for anyone interested in swimming here. I have to admit it's frustrating driving down here and discovering I can't get a lane until after the time I've scheduled to swim because the pool is only open to members during narrow periods of the day so everyone who wants a lane is there at once. (because of summer camp, classes, etc) I am very happy those programs exist for people who want them, on the other hand.

My son had a great time at camp this summer. We’ve tried two there in the past, but he never spoke of them with the same level of excitement as harbison’s. He has gained an interest in a new sport and has gained confidence in his skills. The coaches were sweet and kind during every interaction. We hope to be back next year!

Today was very embarrassing for me. I was publicly humiliated by Cindy. My feelings are very hurt. On 4/6/25 at 5:21pm i called harbison recreational (proof will be attached) I specifically asked “are we allowed in to have parties in the back?” She said “Yes”. I said “okay do i need to reserve anything?” She said “No its first come first serve” we hung up. Today on 4/15 was daughter’s party. Cindy approached me very PASSIVELY AGGRESSIVE asking if we had reservations. All she had to do was pull me aside and we could have discussed this. I explained to her that i did in fact call, she said “you must’ve called the wrong place! You have to have reservations here”. Just to remind you she didn’t pull me aside or anything LITERALLY WHILE I AM HANDING OUT CUPCAKES!!!!!!. I never had a problem with paying for anything but it was not stated on the phone call when i called, had ti been i wouldve done so!!!!!!. Anyways, When i pulled my phone records which will be attached , she stated “oh sometimes people pick up the phone that shouldn’t ”which i can accept but, thats not my problem. I did everything on my end. I wanted my baby party to be PERFECT so I would have reserved EVERYTHING that needed to be reserved. I am literally on the verge of tears because of how HUMILIATED I feel. Why would YOU make ME feel this way due to the lack of communication or whatever that was on YOUR END?!? She also hung up on me, and said that if im “mad” she cant do anything about that. Might i add when i told i had a 30 second conversation and this was stated, she says “Oh that was quick for a phone call” HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ASK “Do i need a reservation for a party?” And i also asked “Can i grill?” She said “Yes, there MAY be one out there already” and that was of the end of the call. Anyways , Cindy maybe you were having a bad day, but your approach was terrible. I wish you PEACE because you seem like you need it. If anyone besides her would like to contact me and discuss this further we can. She made me feel like liar, like why would I throw a KID party somewhere where Im not supposed to? That makes ZERO sense. Clearly theres a misunderstanding, but instead of treating it as such she made me feel like it was my fault. I apologize for the typos but I could not rest until I make this incident KNOWN!

Terrible service the lady with the mustache at the front desk and the old lady I guess her name is Cindy told me on the telephone that I could pay to come in and use the gym as well as the pool but when I showed up there, they told me that I couldn’t pay and it was members only what type of community center is members only then they lied and said that I have to pay at the YMCA I never had to pay anything in any YMCA I’ve ever been to It’s always something different whenever I try to use the community center different people tell me different things every time

3 new outdoor pickleball courts! The staff here are great people. The center has a lot to offer to the community...tennis, pickleball, swimming, gym room and lots of activities.
