What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for Amy's Aquatics are predominantly positive, with many parents praising Amy (and sometimes Ms. Mary) for their exceptional patience, kindness, attentiveness, and gentle yet effective teaching methods. Several reviewers highlight remarkable and rapid progress in their children's swimming skills and water confidence, often from initial water anxiety to proficiency in various techniques and water safety. The personalized attention is frequently preferred over larger corporate classes, leading to strong recommendations and repeat business. However, one negative review cited an unsatisfactory experience with a specific, younger teacher who was ineffective in helping children with water anxiety, leading to limited progress and a feeling of wasted money, though the reviewer still described Amy herself as lovely.

Amy has now taught all 4 of my kids to swim. She is gentle and kind with just the right amount of no-nonsense (which we needed)! We are so glad to have been taught by her!
We absolutely adore Mrs Amy & Ms Mary! Amy came highly recommended to us from a friend of mine who have been coming to Amy for years for swim lessons. I wanted something that was more attentive then the corporate swim classes. I am so happy and proud to have enrolled my little in her classes. She is so attentive, answers all the random questions I have and is just so patient with the kiddos. Ms Mary is the same way! You will not go wrong with Amy’s Aquatics!
I'm posting this a year after, but despite many people who obviously had a fantastic experience, we unfortunately didn't. I think it was largely just the teacher we were assigned. I was so happy to have my kids with someone who had so much experience and payed quite a bit. The teacher we had was younger and not great with helping my kids through their water anxiety. Ultimately, it felt frustrating to pay $600 (2 kids semi private though as noted in a pool with another class) for them to pretty much be able to put their face in the water. I did reach out with concerns, but the response was for me to help them swim more at home, but to me, that's why I'm paying someone else to do it. Amy seemed very lovely, I just wish we had different expectations going in.
We love Ms. Amy and her patience, kindness, and genuine care for our kids and their knowledge of water safety! She is gentle and makes learning to swim fun!
I cant say enough good things about this program. 2 weeks ago my son wouldnt even put his face in the water. Now he is so confident in the pool! Now he can: - flip from front to back and back to front -float on his back unassisted -glide through the water -scale the wall and climb out without any steps -jump in the deep end and turn around to find the wall - starting basic strokes and kicks I could not recommend this program enough - we are gonna see if we can get him into another intensive this summer, and at a minimum we will be back next summer!
