What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for Metro Pool Chemical (also referred to as Metro Pool) are predominantly positive, with multiple customers praising the company for its reliable, affordable, and high-quality weekly chemical service. Many highlight consistently crystal-clear pools, excellent customer service, and friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable staff, including specific mentions of technicians like Taulant and Mr. T. Customers appreciate the convenience of not having to manage pool chemicals themselves and often report significant savings compared to previous services. The company is frequently recommended for its professionalism and efficiency in resolving any rare minor issues quickly. Conversely, one review describes an extremely negative experience, citing unprofessionalism and rudeness. This customer reported unannounced service visits, a missed scheduled service, and a lack of clear communication regarding service policies (e.g., requirement to leave gates unlocked). Attempts to resolve the issue were met with a confrontational and disrespectful employee who shouted, blamed the customer for the missed service, refused to make up for it with illogical explanations, and ultimately hung up. This experience suggests significant issues with communication, customer respect, and service consistency.

We’ve been using Metro Pool Chemical for 4 years for weekly chemical service. They are reliable and very reasonably priced. The managers and employees are friendly, responsive, and helpful. Our pool is usually crystal clear but on the very rare occasion we’ve had a minor issue, they were super quick to come out and make it right. Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend Metro Pool Chemical!

Mr. T is always on time to be sure my pool chemistry is in great shape! He answers all your concerns, and knows what he's doing! The pool water looks and feels great, because Metro has a special way of making the water perfect! Before Metro, I had to pour all kinds of terrible chemicals into the water, like acid, etc. I just let Metro do the job, which is such a great relief!! Now, I just enjoy the pool!! Thank You Metro, and Mr. T!!

Avoid this pool service – extremely unprofessional and rude I had a terrible experience with this company. They missed their second scheduled pool service this Wednesday (July 10th) and never contacted me. I’ve only used them once so far. Our service schedule was clearly set for every Wednesday. Our first scheduled service was supposed to happen on July 2nd, but the technician unexpectedly came a day early on July 1st without informing me in advance. He rang the doorbell, which I heard, and I let him in. Luckily, our Ring app captured the moment when he rang the doorbell. This week, I stayed home the entire day on Wednesday. My car was parked in the yard, clearly visible from the backyard gate. No one showed up. I called Friday morning and left a message, but no one called back. When I called again later, someone finally answered. I asked why no one came this week. The man on the phone told me, “Your yard was locked, and we’re not supposed to ring the bell. If the gate is locked, we don’t provide service.” I was shocked — this was never communicated in advance, and nothing about it is mentioned in the contract. This explanation also directly contradicts what happened during the first visit. If it’s truly their policy not to ring the bell, why did the technician ring it on July 1st? And if the policy requires customers to leave the gate unlocked, why didn’t the technician inform me of that when he was at my door? I’m a new customer — how would I possibly know this “unlocked gate” rule if no one ever explained it to me? I asked this question, and he shouted “I am telling you RIGHT NOW!” in a very disrespectful tone. He was practically yelling at me over the phone. As a customer, I’ve never been treated like this before. When I asked about making up for the missed service, he refused and said they’d only come next Wednesday. I reminded him that I paid for four weekly services per month, and now I’m only getting three. He said they won’t make it up because “last time we added a lot of chlorine, so this week we wouldn’t have done anything anyway.” This logic is unacceptable. I paid for consistent weekly service — not “maybe” service based on their judgment. I also raised a legitimate concern: keeping my gate unlocked all day is a security risk, especially when I don’t even know what time they’ll arrive. He mocked me, saying “We have 3,000 customers and everyone else leaves their gates open for us and none of them has a problem.” He clearly blamed me for the missed service and said “It is your fault,” completely dismissing my valid concerns about safety. When I questioned why they blamed me for the miscommunication instead of taking any responsibility, the man hung up the phone on me. Completely unprofessional, no respect for customers, and very poor communication. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. There are better, more respectful pool services out there.
