What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this swim school are largely positive regarding the quality of swim classes and instructors, who are consistently described as amazing, caring, and effective in teaching water safety and techniques for all ages, from babies to toddlers. Many appreciate the family-run nature of the business. However, there are significant and recurring complaints about the administrative side, including a severe lack of communication (unanswered phone calls, full voicemails, delayed or missing email responses, emails going to spam). Other issues raised include frequent class cancellations without notification, leading to a feeling of not getting value for money, and concerns about the cleanliness of facilities like bathrooms and the front desk area. While the core service is highly praised, the administrative challenges have caused frustration and led some potential customers to look elsewhere.

I’m posting this review for the owners so hopefully they can make some small changes to an otherwise great experience. The swim classes and instructors are great! They are a family run business and it shows. This place would get 5 stars for the swim classes alone. Where they can improve is the admin side of the business. My phone calls and emails never get answered and if they do it’s never timely. My emails are always “in spam” along with my other mom friend’s emails. They obviously have an email service provider issue they need to work out. Their voicemail is always full and if I’m able to leave a message I won’t likely get a call back. Classes are cancelled a lot for various reasons so I don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth. If you have a make up class scheduled and a class is cancelled you won’t get notified. The bathrooms, showers and front desk area don’t look like they are cleaned regularly. I feel so torn writing this because I love this place. I’m just getting frustrated and I feel like they need to make some small changes for the community to be really happy with them. I hope I see these changes implemented soon!!
Edit: someone finally contacted me two weeks later to schedule a trial lesson, saying they had been closed for the 4th of July. I don’t quite understand how a one-day holiday disrupts their schedule for 2 weeks, but I’m updating my review and adding a star since I was able to talk to a real person. We did not end up choosing to move forward with this swim school. This place came highly recommended and we were prepared to drive all the way from Golden for quality lessons. Unfortunately my experience stops there, like many of the other reviewers, due to a complete lack of communication. I filled out the online form, emailed two separate email addresses, called two different numbers, and texted. No response. Voicemail was full. I know they’re probably very busy, but I’m not sure how anyone can run a business like this. They desperately need to hire a good office manager.
We absolutely love Colorado Clownfish. We've been customers since July 2023 and our child started classes at 13 months old. All of the instructors are absolutely amazing and truly care about the students and families that enroll here. Our toddler just graduated up out of the baby class and into the next level up. We love the caring and repetitive approach to lessons, we love that we can copy and mimic things when we go to the rec center on our own, and we love that if we have a particular question it gets answered and addressed immediately.
There is truly no way to adequately express in words how amazing this place is. If you are looking for a compassionate and patient experience for your little one to learn basic water safety skills all the way up to technical swimming stroke techniques, this is the place. This is a family run business from the management to the instructors and I adore and so appreciate the experience my little one has had for the last two years. I could not recommend this place more!
Our 9 month old LOVED her first water experience thanks to the Clownfish staff. Ms. Diana made baby class fun with songs and bubbles! The entire staff is great. Our little one is comfortable and happy in the water and that’s just what we were hoping for.
