What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park offers a diverse range of activities, including extensive natural and paved trails suitable for walking, cycling, and wildlife observation, complete with amenities like clean restrooms, trash cans, and shaded resting spots. Additional facilities encompass tennis courts, volleyball nets, children's play areas, and a BMX course. However, the waterpark component has garnered mixed to negative feedback, largely due to operational changes and COVID-19 impacts. While previously lauded as an affordable, family-friendly destination with splash areas for children, recent reviews express significant disappointment over closures, reduced operating hours (e.g., 11 am to 3 pm in June due to staff shortages), and the removal of its main water slide. These alterations have led some visitors to consider the waterpark's current state a 'disgrace,' significantly affecting the overall experience, particularly for those seeking water attractions. Visitors are generally reminded to observe trail etiquette and avoid littering.

Walked trails around 7am to 10 am. Has both natural ,and paved trails. Not a huge problem with insects in the wooded area, however it was early. A simple squirt of OFF ,on my cap ,did the trick. Impossible to get lost on trails. Lots of large birds , and other wildlife. Remember to keep to your right, or go single file for fast walkers ,or cyclists. Lush and green. If you come in the early spring you can see more of the birds on the water ,before it gets too bushy. Remember NO littering. Saw masks, and other things every once in a while. There are several clean porta jons, and trash cans everywhere. Dog clean up bags are even on the trails. Lots of shaded areas to sit and eat, even on the trails. Park has tennis courts, volleyball nets, several children’s areas, BMX course, and of course the waterpark. A toboggan run is available during winter. Due to covid most is closed, except the trails and a few other areas. If my review was helpful, please like and follow me please!
Great Place to bring the entire family. Rates during the week are very affordable $8 per person for the entire day. You can bring in your own food or they have a concession stand
Me and my family come here every 4th July weekend. There are plenty of chairs and shaded areas for relaxing, the splash area for the smaller children is perfect and has lots of activities. There has been some changes due to covid but non that restrict the fun!!
First of all they don't open till 11am...then apparently due to lack of staff they close at 3pm for the month of June! Huge disappointment! As if that isn't bad enough, they took out the only water slide left!! What?? However, I still love going...
Closed because they removed the very best part of the park. A disgrace to Oakland County being one of the richest counties in USA, NO Waterpark shame shame shame!!!
