Indoor pool with 8 lanes for lap swimming, also used for basketball.
As a seasonal outdoor community pool, the temperature of Campus Hills Pool is not typically published as a fixed value. It naturally varies with ambient weather conditions and is generally comfortable for swimming during its operational summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day). Specific heating beyond natural solar warming is not commonly provided or advertised for this type of public outdoor facility.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is highly regarded, particularly its 'great,' 'nice,' and 'big' pool, which is often described as a 'hidden gem' and a superior option compared to other local facilities due to its newer and better amenities. It offers an affordable swimming experience with many temperature-controlled lanes. Beyond the pool, the facility boasts additional features like basketball and racquetball courts, and a gym. Staff are generally praised as 'amazing,' though there was one isolated incident of initial rudeness from a receptionist that was later rectified. While programs are great, there are often not enough spaces, and there were some confusing instances regarding pool capacity.

Great pool with amazing staff! They also have great programs though not enough spaces for all who want to attend.
Great pool. Little hidden gem in Durham. Nice facility all around.
It's nice and big pool I really enjoyed my self
Great pool! While both of Durham's indoor pools are good and have amazing staff, the facilities are a bit nicer and newer than Edison Johnson. Easy to walk up and dive in!
Positives - good affordable swimming option. Better option than paying $100+ for a family gym membership. Temperature controlled. Many swim lanes available during a weekend. Facility has many other features such as basketball and racquetball courts. Even a gym. Negatives - receptionist was rude and unhelpful but redeemed themselves. Pool was “at capacity” while 5 people were in it. When trying to get details the staff member didn’t seem bothered and unhelpful. After leaving the staff member tells me they were mistaken and was much friendlier assisting me.
