What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this swim school present a mixed but generally positive picture. Many customers highly praise the caring, friendly, and skilled instructors who effectively connect with children, leading to significant improvements in water safety, confidence, and swimming abilities across various age groups, including toddlers and those who are initially clingy or hesitant. The convenience of a user-friendly app for managing classes and make-up days, as well as the availability of trial classes, are frequently appreciated. Some also find the prices reasonable. However, a notable negative experience highlights concerns about the instructor-to-student ratio (1:4) in 30-minute group sessions, which resulted in very limited individual instruction time (around 7 minutes per child). This reviewer also expressed discomfort with what they perceived as young, inexperienced instructors, leading to a 'water daycare' feel, and criticized the dismissive and impersonal attitude of the front desk staff. Other minor criticisms include occasional instructor turnover and subjective skill assessment hindering progression. While recommended for overall water safety by some, the value for money is questioned by others due to perceived lack of personalized instruction and customer service issues.

My son has been in this school forc2 years. 1st I will tell of our positive experiences. We are thankful that we can use make up days, and the support staff is friendly and helpful. Lastly, the app is user friendly. There has been instructors turnover and instructors are sometimes subjective in skill assessment, which has somewhat hindered our child's progression. Over all I would recommend this school for water safety.

I love the fact that they give you a one day trial to see how not just your child likes the school but also you as well. My daughter is very clingy, and this was no problem for the staff or the coaches to understand and make the necessary judgment calls to help ease her transition of not being attached to my hip. Another great thing which is a small notice for some, but a big notice for me is them remembering my daughter‘s name. This shows that the staff is being a tentative and aware of the students that are part of their programs which is reassuring for me for safety purposes. My daughter has only been attending for a month and I’ve definitely seen the improvements not just in her behavior of being away from me for only 30 minutes but also how much she has learned within her four classes that she’s had. Knowing that there’s so much more opportunity that this school has to offer I’m hoping that she wants to stick with this for a while and even be a part of the swim team.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Time or Money Today I showed up with my son for what was supposed to be a trial class. The setup is one instructor for four children, all within a 30-minute session—meaning each child gets about seven minutes of actual instruction. I had specifically asked for private lessons for my son, ideally more than an hour every two weeks, but that request was completely disregarded. What I found most disappointing was the attitude of the front desk staff and what I observed from the instructors. Most of them appear to be quite young, and while age isn't everything, this is an important activity, and I don’t feel comfortable leaving my child in the hands of someone with limited experience. Four kids per instructor is just too much responsibility for one young coach. Honestly, it didn’t even look like a swimming class—it felt more like a water daycare. The overall vibe was careless and impersonal. I asked the receptionist how many students are assigned to each instructor and she said four. I told her that I thought that was risky and that I would be canceling. Her reaction? A shrug and a dismissive gesture—no questions, no effort to understand my concern, no attempt to retain us. It was clear they just don’t care. And if they don’t care, then neither do I. To anyone considering this school: don’t waste your time. If you want your child to have a real swimming lesson, look elsewhere. Seven minutes in the water per session isn’t worth $50, $100, or $200—especially when your child is learning nothing. Very disappointing.

We are loving our classes at AquaTots! The instructors are also very caring and careful with my two-year-old who is not super fond of going underwater. They encourage my seven-year-old and are very skilled working with kids.

My toddler has been in Aqua-Tots since she was an infant and she LOVES swim class. I love how confident and capable she is in the water, and the fact that she's only three and already learning real swim strokes is staggering to me. Instructors are upbeat but not pushovers and so, SO good at connecting with the kiddos. Prices are incredibly reasonable and changing/adding classes has gotten even easier recently through the app. We're but fans! Fins? 😉
