What are people saying (AI review summary)? The majority of reviews express significant frustration with the pool's closure, particularly on the 4th of July, due to perceived thunder or distant lightning strikes despite clear skies. Users reported long waits, conflicting information from lifeguards versus management regarding weather closure policies (e.g., lifeguard's app vs. what can be heard/seen), and neighboring pools remaining open. There were complaints about lifeguards' rudeness and the inconvenience of paying for pool access when it's frequently closed under seemingly arbitrary conditions. One review noted the pool is beautiful and suitable for adults and children who can swim, being 3'6" at its lowest, but not for very young non-swimmers, suggesting other pools for them. Another mentioned the pool is clean and guards alert, with a nearby pond offering shade.

4th of July and the pool is closed due to thunder that it can be heard only by the " life guard" chick.. bad , just bad ! . We have been waiting for about one hour and 30 minutes for the pool to open.Instead of making people upset and wait, management should closed the pool completely as soon as there is thunder or whatever they hear in the sky and send employees home
Pool is clean, guards alert and the pond close by has good shade good for a walk even on a sunny summer day.
It looked pretty until I walked up after 5 years of going, and they said I couldn’t go in
This is a beautiful pool for ADULTS and children who can swim. This pool is 3 feet 6 inches at the lowest level, so it is not appropriate for little children who can not swim. There are several other pools in Cinco Ranch that will accommodate little children.
Could not understand why pool was closed on the 4th of July. Asked why and lifeguard said that if they hear thunder then pool is closed for 30 minutes and will reopen if they do not hear thunder. Ok so we sat there for 30 minutes heard no thunder and then asked why the pool has no reopened and the lifeguard stated that she has an app that showed lightning strikes? There were no lightning strikes near the closest was 13 miles. Called management and they have no radius for weather lightning ect, actually she said they have no weather app they base closures off of, just what we can hear and see. Mind you it was BLUE SKIES…..Checked with some friends in cross creek and they stated their pool was open and had been all day!! That’s literally a couple miles from the rosewood pool. HOA that we pay needs to regulate this better!! Unbelievable!! We as a community lets make sure our voices are being heard. I’ve had enough of our pools never being open just like SO many that stopped by to “see if the pool was open” We live in Houston TX scattered thunderstorms are normal. It’s HOT we pay for pool access and those rude “on duty” lifeguards. If the skies are blue and no storms/lightning/dark clouds visible in the sky, the pool should be open. Not closed due to the echo of thunder 10 miles away. FYI Thunder can be heard up to 10 miles away.
