Family-friendly green space with a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, splash pad and picnic tables.
The May Valley Park & Sprayground features a splash pad rather than a traditional heated pool. Consequently, the water temperature is not regulated and varies with the ambient weather conditions. Specific, consistent pool temperature data is not available as it is an unheated water play area.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park generally receives positive feedback for being a nice, well-maintained, and clean area with paved trails, off-street parking, and bathrooms. It's considered good for smaller children with appropriate structures, and its water features and shaded areas make it a popular spot for cooling off and gatherings. Visitors have noted that it can get crowded with many young kids, but many still enjoy the lively atmosphere. However, one significant critique highlights that the splash pad and overall park size are too small, leading to a negative experience for some, and expressing broader disappointment with 'The Woodlands' area regarding its perceived decline and population growth.

Nice park. Great structures for smaller kids. Off street parking and a bathroom.
A nice area to enjoy summer with well maintained amenities. Very clean and trails are paved.
Splash pad is way too small. The park is too small as well for the overall size of the park. For being "the woodlands," it's not too great. My kids were miserable, and I recommended a different park. And with that being said.... the woodlands has for sure gone downhill over the last 20 years. The woodlands was a place where everyone wanted to be, but not all could live in it.... now everyone is living in it. It's not worth it moving back here where I had grown up... Looking to relocate out of Montgomery county. Also projected population of Montgomery is expected to reach 1.5/ 1.7 million residents about 1/4 the population of the state of Tennessee by 2040...
They were packed and it was a lot of young kids so you have to be very careful to not trip over anybody because they do run around like children do. My son had a blast even though he’s a little bit older just running around and splashing and playing with the other kids. I lay back and read a book and enjoyed the fun and laughter.
This is a great place to hang out and cool off. Our homeschool co-op throughly enjoyed the water features and the shaded areas. It made for a great gathering place!
