What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Pod generally receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with many parents praising the personalized and effective swim instruction. Instructors, particularly Ms. Jordan and Ms. Gail, are frequently commended for their individualized approach, helping children overcome fears, and teaching essential skills like self-rescue quickly. The front office is also noted for its helpfulness, flexible scheduling, and clear communication. Many reviewers highly recommend The Pod, citing a supportive environment and significant progress in their children's swimming abilities. However, one strong negative review raises serious concerns regarding pool hygiene (alleging low/no chlorine), the owner's (Gail's) conduct, accusing her of lacking care for children's well-being and treating staff poorly. This review also strongly advises against bringing children with disabilities, claiming they are treated as a 'problem' due to the staff's lack of understanding.

As a new(ish) mom, I had high anxiety when it came to my toddler being around water. Finding a place for him to learn how to swim felt overwhelming, but once we found The Pod I felt totally at peace. Working 1:1 with Ms. Jordan has been such a joy. She really honed in on the ways my son would best learn and retain the skills she was teaching him. Ms. Gail was an awesome addition to the lessons when he needed extra encouragement. Everything from the lessons to the scheduling was tailored perfect to our needs. Highly recommend for parents who feel like they need a more personal touch in their child’s swim education. Thank you, Ms. Jordan!
We have been swimming at the pod with our three youngest kids for a year and a half. First - let me speak to the front office. They were incredibly helpful in getting our kids of different ages into weeknight classes at the same times. Even as they moved up into different levels, they were sensitive to keeping the kids in classes at similar times. Every time we had an instructor change, pool closure, or any other issue, we received a kind call or email. Next, swim staff - every single instructor we worked with (probably 10 different instructors over 1.5 years) worked well with the kids and had their safety AND their feelings in mind. Yes they were tough on them at the beginning, and yes they give them a chance to try to swim before rescuing them, but they would never EVER let one of the kids come to harm. Our kids learned to self-rescue in just a few lessons. There were tears, hugs, cheers and laughs as our kids progressed from self-rescue to swimming strokes across the pool. We dealt with fear and regression after a holiday break, and Gail and her team helped my kids overcome that with personalized plans. Can’t say enough about this wonderful place. Go to the pod!!
Taught my 3 kids to swim since 7 months old. They always work around your schedule to find classes that work for you. Have extra supplies in case you forget something. We loved our experience here! My kids still ask to go back!
We tried several other swim instructors and facilities over the last two years. Our daughter continued to struggle and simply could not push past her fear and learn to swim. It only took two lessons with Ms. Gail and her coaches for our daughter to learn to swim. She continues to strengthen her swimming skills and we couldn’t be happier. Ms. Gail is an experienced and talented swim instructor. I only regret not coming here sooner. I highly recommend The POD.
The infant and baby pools always have little to no chlorine in them at any given time. Gail, the owner, is someone I personally would never trust to take care of my child or teach them how to swim as she is comfortable with letting kids drown a little bit so they can learn their lesson. She treats her staff horribly and no care for the well-being of your children. If your child has autism, adhd, anxiety, or really anything that would make it harder for them to learn how to swim, NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER, bring your child here their disabilities will be make your child be treated like a problem because no one there has any clue how to properly take care of a child with mental health issues, if anything they will treat your child worse than all of the others.
