What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Forest Hammock area receives mixed reviews, with its facilities and neighborhood aspects highlighted. The playground, while featuring an enjoyable jungle gym, see-saw, and spring whale, is criticized for its swings being too small for children over 3 years old, a broken infant swing, and maintenance issues such as overflowing trash, a backed-up water fountain, and a rusting picnic table. Kids reportedly lose interest in the playground quickly. The pool is access-controlled, requiring a key fob and prohibiting guests, and is generally well-loved by frequent visitors, although obtaining its operating hours is a reported difficulty. In contrast, the Forest Hammock neighborhood itself garners positive feedback for its friendly, supportive, and clean environment, creating a positive living experience for residents.
Reviews
It's an ok playground. What gets me is the swings. They are meant for smaller kids (0-3 years of age). My son who is a small 5 year old, can barely fit in the swings. Other notes, the trash was overflowing on a Wednesday afternoon. The water fountain, which no one really uses anymore, was backed up and holding water making it a bird bath. The picnic table under the shade in the playground is in need of some repair as it's lost it's exterior protection and is rusting in a spot. See pictures for details. The actual jungle gym is pretty fun for kids to run around and make believe. Kids just like the see-saw (spring) and the spring whale. So 5-10 mins and kids are ready to go to another park.
The infant swing is broken and I can not for the life of me find a single person who can tell me the hours of operation of the pool. It isn't listed any where and every one I call or email tells me to call or email some one else.
This is a review for the Forest Hammock Neighborhood beyond the pool. The neighbors are friendly and they look out for each other. I am grateful to have lived here for just over a year. Everyone says hello and keeps the neighborhood clean. I am moving, but really enjoyed my time here.
Summertime fun in the sun at the park/pool
This is the access controlled pool for Forest Hammock. A key fob is required for entrance and exit. No guests are allowed. I visit here quite a lot. Love it.
