The rooms were beautiful. Watch out though and bring your own coffee pods otherwise you'll be paying a crazy price for coffee. No microwave or refrigerator. Minimum signage or directions to get to check in. Had to ask over and over in order to find the room. Be marathon prepared to navigate this hotel. Good luck!
This hotel is attached to the Four Seasons. I would stay at the Four Seasons. Mandalay does not have good customer service. The digital check in did not work. You can only access the floor with your key card that your room is on. The ice machine did not work on my floor. I called in-room service for ice. She said they would send it. 35 minutes later no ice. I called again. She said she would have someone here at 3. I left my room at 6 pm and still no ice. I called when I got back and they said the in-room dining was closed for the night and I would have to come down to the lobby for a key for another floor. She gave me another key. I got ice and on the way back up to my floor I ran into another couple on a different floor who said their ice didn't work either. Next day I go to get ice and my key card won't work for that floor. Im staying here and paying for 4 nights and they know that and gave me access for one day for a working ice machine. No info in the room on restaurants, amenities, etc. I found a coffee shop at the 4 Seasons and walked there. While I was sitting at a table drinking my coffee I observed their customer service and check in process and it was a night and day difference. They were proactive and on top of everything. Do not waste your money here. They do not care about you. Also they have multiple pools and most of them were closed every day I was here.
I enjoyed my stay here. My room was ready at 9am, which was very convenient, as my flight had just landed. I was able to freshen up and leave my things in the room way ahead of normal check in time. Check in was easy and seamless. The room was very large and had a view of the pools/airport. I appreciated the free tram between the other few resorts nearby and the easy access to the Deuce bus, as well. It is the first and farthest resort on the strip, so you do have to travel a bit to get to a bunch of places, but the price is affordable for what you get. All in all, great stay!
Surprise, the Mandalay bay is very nice. I was shocked how nice my room was. The New putt putt swingers is unique. Gambling is pretty good. Several food choices. Pro tip, the pool is nice, although the wave pool has one wave every 90 seconds, kinda lame, and the lazy river does not offer free tunes. Either bring your own pool cubes, or buy a small one for 30 bucks at the pool shop. Overall, I had a great time and made great memories.
The Mandalay Bay is not what is used to be. The rooms are still wonderful, however they charge you five times the amount on paper through resort fees and other charges. In addition parking takes 15-30 minutes (from parking to the hotel room) Almost all poker tables have been removed and the once left have such bad odds that your winning chance drops below 40%. There are no fridges in the rooms and the minibar is a joke where you pay up to 15 dollars for a bottle of water
