First time at the Plaza but I will be back. With only two people at reception, I was still impressed with the prompt and friendly service. The layout is pretty much the same for all hotel-casino operations but I did like the vibe. It was clean, plenty of security, and plenty of options for gambling, bar life, or food. The room was also impressive and wasn't your typical 'cram what we can' room. It was expansive, a comfortable king sized bed, and an air conditioner capable of cooling the room to a temperature you could hang meat in if you wanted to. There was some drama next door that was heard later in the early morning but security was on it promptly and quiet quietly for those near the activity. The only negative was the bathroom. That was the only thing that was cramped in so much as you had to maneuver around the toilet to close the door. There was ample space to make it a larger bathroom but I assume that is cost prohibitive. Overall, great stay and I will be back. I hope the next visit is as good as this one was.
The all inclusive was definitely worth it for a week of food and drinks. Pool isn't very big so one group of children can easily ruin it on a crowded day. We missed the fireworks but it would've been a good spot for them. The staff were mostly very kind and accommodating. It was nice to have a small non smoking section. The rooms can leave a lot to be desired, especially the bathroom. The cleaning supplies used on our bathtub and sink were so pungent even after 5 days it made us gag upon each use. The beds were comfortable though. Rooms have paper thin walls so you can hear the rooms next to you and anyone in the hallways. Right off Fremont Street with tons to do right there in walking distance
Its an anchor of downtown and is a throwback to the mid-80s. Casino has new games, smoke is present however not dominant. Parking is attached and comes free with room. Room is clean, elevators are quick and the staff are friendly. The only decent food is the Hash House, which good but a little overwhelming quantity, yet solid taste. Check for deals on their website. It's worth the money for quick, fun, impromptu stays.
Our family just stayed in a one bedroom suite for 3 nights. We were very happy with the room. It was clean and large. Having 1 and 1/2 bathrooms was really nice. My only complaints are that I wish the suite had a microwave and I wish they had a flip lock on the rooms doors that lead to the hallway. We would definitely stay here again though. There was a lot of noise at night from Fremont Street but the hotel itself was very quiet. I never heard any noise from the rooms near us.
Beds are absolutely horrible, like sleeping on a plank. Rather sleep on the floor. And casino is absolutely garbage. Do better on the strip. Save yourself and avoid this place. The machines are super tight. For a dirty old casino, you would think the casino would be a little looser. But they seem to think ripping their guests off is in their best interest.
